3 Day 2 Nights Kibale Queen Elizabeth National Parks Safari departs from Kampala and travels to 2 of the most exciting Uganda wildlife destinations – Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking.
A visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park is also included for a wildlife game-drive. This is an outstanding treasure of Uganda wildlife Game Park and named after Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1954.
The park offers chances of seeing tree climbing lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, water bucks to mention but a few.
Both parks are relatively close to each other. Animals such as Elephants and chimpanzees cross back and forth between the two parks. They are found in western Uganda with easy access from Kampala – Fortpotal Highway.
Kibale Forest National Park Chimpanzee are the most sought after primate by visitors, but you should look out for the black & white colobus, red tailed monkey or the grey cheeked mangabey.
Your guides will be able to show you pittas & different bird species and will give details of the trait of the plant species within the forest. This walk is for 6 people in a group.
Queen Elizabeth National Park has predators as lions, leopards, side stripped jackal and spotted hyena among others. Common Antelopes species include the kob, bush buck, topi and water buck.
Other animals which can even be found at mea peninsular include Buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and hippos.
There are also various primate species are available in the park including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others.

3 Day 2 Nights Kibale Queen Elizabeth National Parks Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
0630 Hours: After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, you begin your safari with our professional safari guide driving west to Fort Portal and on to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours (326 km's) from Kampala.
The safari takes you both on asphalt and unpaved roads pass through traditional Ugandan villages where you see the locals tending their traditional crops of millet, sorghum, beans and maize.
The lush rolling hills of this region provide good "photo opportunities". Along the way you also have chances of seeing birds such as the beautiful Gonoleks, Widow birds, Barbets, Eagles, Sun birds and Weaver birds that perch on the fence rows and power lines by the roadside.
As you approach Fort Portal in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, you enter Uganda's famous tea plantation region.
You arrive at Fort Portal, then, continue toward Kibale Forest one of the greatest African rainforest research reserves. This forest is famed for the variety of primates found here and it is a terrific area for birds.

Day 2: Explore Kibale National Park
0800 Hours: In the morning, after breakfast we report to the ranger station, Kanyanchu to track familiarized chimps.
The search for chimpanzees and other primates will include not only Chimps but also an array of birds. The park boasts of a record of over 375 bird species.
After lunch proceed to Bigodi Village. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is an fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp. The Bigodi is a paradise for bird watchers.
This area is recognized for a extensive array of bio diversity among which are several primates species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey.
Additional Mammals such as chimpanzees, sitatunga, mongooses, bush pigs, otters plus bush bucks etc.
After a fun filled afternoon with the locals at Bigodi we shall return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Kibale – Visit Queen Elizabeth National Park – Drive to Kampala
The starts with breakfast at your lodge then depart by road to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Park is dominated on its northern border by the snow-capped 16,000-foot Rwenzori Mountains-the famed "Mountains of the Moon".
This 767-square-mile conservation area is bordered on the North East by Lake George and on the South West by Lake Edward; its western border adjoins the Zaire Parc Du Virunga.
You will see teeming herds of impala-like Uganda Kob, as well as topi, elephant and lion, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo.
Return back to Kampala passing through Mbarara, where you will have lunch. Arrive late evening.

Kongoni Camp Nanyuki is set in a cedar cypress forest glade, with Mt Kenya as an iconic backdrop in Nanyuki and less than 2 kilometers from Nanyuki Town. The camp is about 196 kilometers from Nairobi and it takes about 4 hours drive.
There are 22 guestrooms comprising of 17 single and double rooms and 5 rondavels. The single rooms and doubles rooms are tastefully furnished and feature a work desk and en-suite bathrooms.
The thatched cottages rondavels are self contained and each features seating area, balcony and en-suite bathroom. There is a campsite where guests can pitch their own tents or hire from the camp. In the campsite is a shared bathroom.
Kongoni Camp restaurant serves a variety of meals ranging from fantastic grills, vegetarian dishes, pizzas made in our traditional Italian style wood fired oven to homemade breads and cakes.
All meals are delicately prepared using the freshest of local ingredients. The restaurant in an open log cabin style building with an open porch and a huge fire place. Guests can enjoy their meal in the garden under thatched roofs or in the dining area.
The well stocked bar serves a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. In the evening guests can sit on the cozy sofas next to the fire and enjoy their meals and drinks. There is also a mountain chalet style mezzanine area upstairs where guests can relax.
Kongoni Camp Nanyuki has a conference hall built from natural materials and is ideal for conferences, weddings, events and parties. The hall can accommodate 20 – 200 guests. The camp has a spa were guests can get relaxing massages and other body treatments.
Activities in Kongoni Camp Nanyuki include mountain climbing, mountain biking, game drive game walks, horse riding, village visits and bird watching. Guests can take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool.
