3 Days Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Serengeti luxury air safari is a short wildlife holiday to southern Serengeti Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Tanzania which borders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Mwiba Wildlife Reserve is a 134000 acres wildlife reserve and is considered to be part of the great southern Serengeti ecosystem.
It is only 40 kM's from Ndutu where the great wilderbeest migration begins in April.
This reserve has countless animal species; of the Big 5, you can expect to see elephants, buffalo, lions, and leopards.
Other animals include waterbuck, impala, dik-dik, kudu, giraffe, hyena, wild dog, cheetah and many more wild animals.
The Serengeti wildebeest migration reaches into this area when at its southernmost point between December and April.
The area is characterized by rolling hills, kopjes, thickets, waterholes and (dry) rivers where pools form that contain water year round.
The constant supply of water acts as a magnet for wildlife in the dry season when southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro conservation areas dry out.
Mwiba borders onto the Eyasi Escarpment, from the top of which, there are magnificent views south over lake Eyasi and the Yaida Valley, home to Tanzania's dwindling bushmen community.
To the north lies Maswa Game Reserve, an important wildlife reserve that acts as a buffer between Serengeti National park and the village lands further to the west.

Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania. It covers an area of about 13,000 square kilometers and is located in the middle of Tanzania about 130 kilometers from Iringa.
The park’s location, in central western Tanzania means it is far from civilization and, apart from a few very keen overland trippers, is accessed only by light aircraft.
The relatively few camps mean that you have swathes of untouched African bush to explore. And with its amazing birdlife (547 different species!) as well as copious big game; Ruaha is one of the most interesting and diverse parks you can visit.
The park is rich of plants and animals such as Kudu (both Greater and Lesser), elephants, hippopotamus, fish and crocodiles,
Ruaha is believed to have high concentration of elephants than any national park in East Africa. It is also a place where, magnificent mammals like Sable and Roan antelopes can easily be spotted in Miombo woodland.
The park is also a habitat for endangered wild dogs. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands, impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals.

Bird Watching: Ruaha is one of the Tanzania birds’ paradise with more than 571species and some of them are known to be migrants from within and outside Africa. Ruaha red-billed hornbill which is dominant in the area.

Game drives are the best way to get up close to the multitude of wildlife that calls Ruaha home; big-maned lions, great herds of elephant, the handsome greater kudu, Sable and Roan antelope.

Serengeti Visitor Center: The Serengeti Visitor Centre is worth a stop for its self-guided walking path that provides informative signs and exhibits about the history of the Serengeti, its ecosystem, and its wildlife.
The Serengeti's Great Migration: Throughout the year huge herds of wildebeest and zebra move in a clockwise direction around the vast plains, searching for fresh grazing grounds.
Witnessing the migration in the Serengeti is really as good as it gets in terms of your Tanzania Safari.
Serengeti daytime game drives: The main attraction here is the wildlife. Serengeti National Park houses a huge population of large mammals, including giraffes, baboons, elephants, hippos, and, of course, lions.
You'll also come across more than 500 species of birds, most notably, ostriches. When you tire of gazing at grazers, head to Moru Kopjes to mingle with rhinos or to the Retina Hippo Pool to watch these massive mammals splash about.
Serengeti Nighttime game drives: A night game drive allows you the unique opportunity to spot a number of nocturnal animals, such as civets, bush babies, nightjars, and aardvarks, and possibly even predators on the hunt.
Night Game Drives are possible in the reserves adjacent to the Serengeti night driving is available.
Most notable areas include Singita's Grumeti Reserves (Sasakwa, Faru Faru and Grumeti Reserves Sabora), Kleins Camp and the camps in the adjacent Loliondo reserve.
Serengeti Balloon Safaris: There are no words that can do the experience of floating over the Serengeti justice." Get a birds-eye view of the park as you rise alongside the sun.
The flight lasts about an hour, after which passengers gather round a table, surrounded by the park's lush plains, for an "Out of Africa" English-style breakfast.
Oldupai Gorge: Lying only a few miles south of Serengeti National Park, the Oldupai Gorge (also called Olduvai Gorge) is a steep-sided ravine that is about 30 miles long.
The site is famous because it is here where the Leakey’s discovered human fossils and tools dating back to over 2 million years ago.
View Wildlife and Nature on Foot (or even on horseback!) An interesting way to explore the Serengeti ecosystem is to do it on your own two feet.

2 Days 1 Night Selous Game Reserve Flying Safari is a short flying-in safari to Selous Game Reserve where you will spend the next 2 days on game drives in Tanzania's southern most famous park.

Located in southern Tanzania and far from the big crowds, the Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of our favorite wildlife viewing areas. Selous offers untouched African wilderness as the park is so vast it is impossible to count its game.
It really is a hidden gem! The Rufiji River and lakes of the Selous are the lifeblood of a park that hosts some fabulous game, including elephant, wild dog, hippo, crocodile and fantastic prides of lion.
The park is home to over 50% of the remaining endangered African wild dog, and also hosts very good populations of African Animals.
Some include buffalo, giraffe, eland, hyena, sable, hippo, crocodile, kudu, baboon, wildebeest, zebra, impala, hartebeest, colobus monkeys, leopard and vervet monkeys along with over 450 species of bird.

Game Drives: Selous Game Reserve visitors can visit the park through Safari packages with African Spice Safaris to small and remote camps and lodges, with little chance of bumping into any sign of human life.
During a game drive or walk one might be lucky enough to see a pack of African Wild Dog, disappearing throughout Africa but thriving in the Selous. If you are looking for elephants, Selous Game Reserve is the place to find them: there is a large population of these giant mammals.

2 Days 1 Night Selous Game Reserve Flying Safari Itinerary |
Day 1: Dar-es-Salaam – Fly to Selous Game Reserve
0630 Hours: Transfer from your hotel/ resort to Zanzibar Airport.
0830 Hours: Departure flight from the Airport to Selous Game Reserve.
0915 Hours: Arrival at the Selous Airstrip and meet and greet with your personal guide.
0930 Hours: Check in at the camp.
1230 Hours: Lunch at your camp/ lodge in Selous Game Reserve followed by relaxing time.
1600 Hours: Briefing by the guide and start of the activities: Choose between a Walking, Boat or Game Drive Safari. Participate in some classic – style game drives – exploring the bush in open 4 x 4 vehicles.
Waterbuck, southern reed buck and bushbuck are common in the Selous. Rare sable antelope, lion and greater kudu also frequent this area.
1845 Hours: Return to the camp/ Lodge.
2000 Hours: Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve – Fly to Dar-es-Salaam
0700 Hours: Have an early Breakfast then depart for game drive exploring Selous Game Reserve.

1500 Hours: You will be transferred to the airstrip for departure on a scheduled flight to Dar-es-Salaam or Zanzibar.
1600 Hours: On arrival at Dar-es-Salaam Airport, you will be met and transferred to Dar-es-Salaam city centre or your hotel in Zanzibar.
