Day 1: Kisumu – Drive to Ruma National Park
After an early breakfast, Depart from Kisumu by road driving through the towns of Kendu Bay and Homa bayto Ruma National Park.

After arriving at Nyatoto gate, we check-into the park and proceed on a game drive en-route to our accommodation for lunch.

After lunch, you will embark on an extensive game drive. Ruma National park lies in Western Kenya, close to the shores of Africa’s largest inland Lake, Lake Victoria.

The park is considered the last retreat and the sanctuary of the endangered and threatened Roan antelope which is considered one of the Africa’s rarest Antelopes.

Apart from the Roan antelope, the park has buffalo, waterbuck, aardvark, honey badger, civet, serval, genet, topi, impala, monkey, baboon and leopard and hyena.

Return to your accommodation in the evening for Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ruma National Park – Visit Rusinga Island – Drive to Kisumu
An early morning game drive is planned on this day followed by breakfast back at the lodge. We checkout of our accommodations and depart with packed lunch boxes to Rusinga Island for a tour. Rusinga is a pretty Island.

We visit Tom Mboya’s mausoleum. Tom Mboya’s was a civil rights champion, trade unionist and charismatic young Luo politician who was gunned down in Nairobi in 1969, sparking off a crisis that led to over forty deaths in widespread rioting and demonstrations.

We have packed lunch at a convenient place in the Island, and then drive to catch the 1500 Hours Ferry to Lwanda K’Otieno.

Along the way we visit the Akala market which is famous for cattle sale in the whole of Nyanza region to get to learn after interacting with both sellers and buyers.

We arrive in Kisumu in the evening.

African Heritage House Nairobi day tour is a half day trip to African Heritage House overlooking the Nairobi National Park.

The house is located 25 km's from Nairobi city, near Mlolongo on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway and a 15 minutes drive from Jomo Kenyatta International airport.

Built using a unique blend of traditional African mud construction techniques, as soon as you enter the house, you will truly understand why it has been lauded by the media to become the most photographed house on the continent.

It is owned and was designed by American Alan Donovan, co-founder of the African Heritage Pan African Galleries.

The House has a collection of artwork and artifacts from around Africa that are displayed inside making a tour of African Heritage House an intriguing and unexpected way to learn about the native peoples of Africa.

0800 Hours: Nairobi Cultural Experience Shopping Tour begins with a pick up from your hotel/ residence. Today we travel from Nairobi to a Masai village (Manyatta) situated in Ngong Hills countryside.

The drive takes you to the Masai who are plain Nilotes – a tribe that has succeeded in maintaining their cultural identity and continue to lead a traditional pastoral life.

Most Masai wear distinctive clothing usually red to discourage lion attacks. Their primary occupation is grazing cattle and goats in the open savannah.

At the village they perform a traditional Masai dance, and allow you into their cow dung huts. You enjoy speaking with them and learning about their culture.

1200 Hours: After the village tour we depart for lunch at one of the popular restaurants located in Karen estate.

1300 Hours: Lunch will be at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant or the Tamambo Karen Blixen Restaurant.

The international menu at both restaurants offer a wide variety menu with over 40 items. Special food theme outdoor barbecue or Mexican food buffets provide additional variety.

1400 Hours: After a sumptuous lunch we proceed for shopping at Utamaduni Craft Centre which sells a huge variety of African Curios all under one roof.

Kisite is one of the most rewarding snorkeling locations at the coast. Here we spend 2 hours snorkeling. One can also do bird watching, diving and of course, sunbathing.

0730 Hours: Our flight from Wilson airport departs for Tsavo West National Park.

0820 Hours: Upon arrival at Ol Donyo Lodge airstrip in the Chyulu Hills, we proceed for a game drive south towards Kilimanjaro into the magnificent Chyulu Hills on the southern border of Tsavo West National Park.

1200 Hours: You will arrive at your accommodations at Campi Ya Kanzi or Ol Donyo Lodge. The area offers incredible views of Kilimanjaro, (famed for its ‘red’ elephants and of course the legendary “man-eaters”).

Solio Ranch is a 45,000 acre ranch, with a 19,000 acre game conservancy. The reserve is located 30 km's North of Nyeri Town and has over 120 black and white rhinos.

By road, the journey takes around 4 hours from Nairobi. Solio Game Reserve is situated 180 km's north of Nairobi or 30 km's north of Nyeri on the Nyeri – Nyahururu road.

There are many things to do while on our 2 Days 1 Nights Solio Game Reserve Safari Kenya e.g. horseback riding, bush walks, mountain-biking, night and day game drives and fishing trips to Mount Kenya.

Solio Game Reserve animals include lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena, as well as two northern species, the reticulated giraffe and the beisa oryx.

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Solio Game Reserve
0800 Hours: African Spice Safaris representative will provide a safari briefing before you depart for Solio Game Reserve/ Ranch situated 180 km's north of Nairobi or 30 km's north of Nyeri on the Nyeri – Nyahururu road.

The journey takes around 4 hours from Nairobi.

1300 Hours: We arrive in time for lunch, check-in to our rooms then later relax before the evening game drive.

There are great chances of encountering numerous black and white rhino, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, oryx, antelope, Thompson’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck and warthog.

Solio Ranch also offers some of the best leopard viewing in the country, and lion and cheetah can also be found.

Day 2: Solio Ranch – Drive to Nairobi

After breakfast or lunch, check out and drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route to arrive late in the evening.
