Meru National Park 2 Days 1 Night Luxury Flying Safari from Nairobi is an overnight flying-in wildlife safari that visits Meru National Park wilderness area in Kenya.

Meru National Park is located at 348 km's from Nairobi and incorporates Bisanadi, Kora, Rahole and Mwingi National Reserves.

The highlights of our Meru flying-in safari includes the former home of Joy and George Adamson, the grave of Elsa the lioness, Adamson's Falls, Game viewing, stunning views of Mt Kenya, bird watching and fishing among other activities.

Game viewing includes elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser Kudu, duiker and dik-dik amongst others.

Meru National Park also has some of Kenya's largest herds of buffalo, along with hartebeests, giraffes and gazelles.

Over 300 species of birds have been recorded in Meru National Park, including the owls, kingfishers, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings and numerous weavers.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Meru National Park
0730 Hours: After an early breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, we transfer you to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to Meru National Park.

0915 Hours: Flight to Meru National Park departs from Wilson Airport. You will enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery and excellent views of snow-capped Mount Kenya in a distance.

1140 Hours: Arrive in Meru National Park and proceed for a game-drive en-route to the lodge/ camp.

1230 Hours: Arrive at the lodge/camp and check-in follows. Lunch is served at the dining room.

1530 Hours: Coffee/ tea and hot chocolate is served in the lounge before the afternoon game drive.

1600 Hours: Depart for the afternoon game drive. Meru National Park is home to a large pride of lions, herds of buffalo, and hippos and crocodiles that live in the rivers.

The park is noted for its fauna and natural beauty. 

Meru has many swamps and rivers lined with palms, as well as mountains and woodlands, and it is the setting for Joy Adamson's book "Born Free", which was later made into a successful film.

1830 Hours: Return back to the camp/ lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Meru National Park – Fly to Nairobi
0630 Hours: Depart for an early morning game drive. Game viewing includes elephants, hippos, lions, leopards and cheetahs.

There are also some rare antelope, including the Lesser Kudu, duiker and dik-dik, a tiny African antelope that stands just 12 inches high and is notoriously shy.

Meru National Park also has some of Kenya's largest herds of buffalo, along with hartebeests, giraffes and gazelles.

0900 Hours: Return to the lodge/ Camp for breakfast.

1100 Hours: Check-out and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi.

1150 Hours: Your flight from Meru National Park to Nairobi departs.

You will see large Wheat and French beans plantations in Timau area and excellent views of snow-capped Mount Kenya as you fly to Nairobi.

1305 Hours: Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your residence/ Hotel
