Elsamere Centre Education Naivasha Students Accommodation formerly Elsamere Field Study Centre is situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Rift Valley about 110 km's from Nairobi.
The Centre is about 200 meters from Elsamere's main Lodge and is separated from the lake by a strip of mature yellow-barked acacia. There is a wide range of educational programs for teachers, pupils and community leaders.
The Centre has four self contained rooms for teachers/ facilitators and three self-contained dormitories which can accommodate a total of 60 students/ adults. Meals are prepared by the fully trained chefs in the kitchens
Important conferences and research seminars concerned with local, national and international conservation issues are usually hosted in the center. Spacious grounds are available for team building activities.
There are 2 conference rooms namely Dr Keith Eltringham room accommodates 50 guests and George Adamson room accommodates 20 guests.
An interesting range of organized environmental activities on site including bird watching, boat rides, nature walks, visit Joy Adamson museum, and tree planting are available.
One can make visits to local areas of conservation interest such as Hells Gate, Nakuru National Park, flower farms, Olkaria-Geothermal power plant, Oloiden Lake, Crater Lake and Crescent Island.
The scientific laboratory has basic equipment; researchers are encouraged to bring their own specific instruments/ chemicals.
