This 3 day classic flying safari package offers a relaxing escape in the heart of the beautiful bush. It is based on a 2 night stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge located within the famous Mara Triangle of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
By air, Mara Serena Airstrip is 45 minutes from Nairobi and the lodge is 2 km' away from the airstrip. Enjoy excellent game viewing, including the Big Five – namely Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant.
Mara Serena Safari Lodge is a luxury accommodation and has a prime position on a hill overlooking the African savannah and Mara River.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
0800 Hours: This morning after breakfast at your hotel/ residence, we transfer to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
1000 Hours: Flight departs for the Masai Mara Game Reserve (50 minutes)
1100 Hours: Arrive in the Masai Mara Serena airstrip and proceed on a gamedrive en-route to Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
1230 Hours: Check-in at Mara Serena Safari Lodge and lunch follows.
1530 Hours: We enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot choclate before departing for the afternoon game-drive.
The Masai Mara is Kenya's finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The reserve is home to most of the popular safari animals, but the black rhino and cheetah populations are dangerously low.
Wildebeest is the dominant animal, followed by Thomson Gazelles and zebras. You will also see a lot of giraffes, hyenas and ostrich. The best time to go there may be between July and October when enormous hordes of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras are migrating in from Serengeti in Tanzania.
1830 Hours: Return back to Mara Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve
Today we will be spending in the vast eco-system of the Mara searching for the big five and much more. You also have an optional balloon safari. Game viewing is great from the air with the opportunity for beautiful pictures.
The annual wildebeest migration is expected in the Masai Mara between July and early November. Millions of animals migrate to the Mara from Serengeti in search for fresh green pastures and water.
It’s worth noting that every game drive is different from the other, and missing one is missing out on the fun. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size. More than 400 bird species have already been recorded, including birds of prey.
You could step back in time and visit a Maasai village where you get a chance to interact with the Maasai people in their traditional setting and experience their culture. Guided walking tours and safaris conducted by a Masai warrior outside the reserve are also available.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Fly to Nairobi
0600 Hours: If you are not participating in the hot air balloon you enjoy morning tea/ coffee or hot chocolate followed by a morning game drive. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia trees.
0900 Hours: Return back to the lodge/ camp for breakfast.
1000 Hours: We transfer you to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi.
1100 Hours: Fly back to Nairobi.
1200 Hours: Upon arrival at the Wilson airport we transfer you to your hotel/ residence.
