5 Days 4 Nights Kenya Maralal Camel Safari Tour takes you to Maralal a frontier town, which is the beginning of the Great Northern wilderness and the staging post for many great adventures.

This simple town is a thriving centre for the local Samburu people, and the streets are always busy with camels, passing warriors and traders.

Here the broad arid plains give way to the spectacular Loroghi Hills and the high, wild Matthews ranges. Dry river beds course through this land, and have become the tracks and routes of nomadic camel trains.

The Maralal National Sanctuary is situated in Maralal and is home to zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, warthogs, baboons and other wildlife.

Day 2 & 3: Camel Trekking/ Walking
After breakfast depart with your camel and Morans, cook and security guards into the bush for the 2 days walking or riding as you go by.

You will ride through the area enjoying the panoramic views of landscape and also get to watch wild animals on your top your camel.

Lunch will be served en-route at the place you will camp for the night. Thereafter, an optional guided walk through the bush before dinner and overnight under the stars and skies of Africa.

Day 4: Camel Trekking/ Walking

4 Days Mombasa Safari Tsavo West Taita Hills Tsavo East departs from Mombasa and travels to Tsavo West National Park, Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tsavo East National Park.

The safari begins with a visit to the Tsavo West National Park – a wild land of broken volcanic hills, and dense acacia woodland.

The park is a home to the shaggy maned lions which are the descendants of the legendary man eaters. The vegetation supports large herds of antelopes, zebras and buffaloes.

The Rhino Valley is full of leopard’s sightings with the provision of dramatic shadow of Ngulia Hills.

The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is manned by armed guards which provide a safe view of the black Rhino who are in the brink of Buffaloes and red-hued elephants are also common in this park.

Our next stop is Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – a privately owned sanctuary, located in Taita-Taveta.

It hosts cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, Maasai lion, Maasai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and other smaller animals as well as a great diversity of birdlife.

Lastly we visit the Tsavo East National Park – home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust–red elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser kudu and gerenuk.

3 Days 2 Nights Kisumu Kit Mikaye Ndere Island Safari offers an opportunity to enjoy a cultural experience in Kisumu. The itinerary features a visit to Kit Mikaye and Ndere Island National Park.

Kit-Mikayi (also spelled Kit Mikayi, Kitmikayi, and Kitmikaye) is a rock formation, a tor, around 40 meters high situated about 29 km west of the town of Kisumu in western Kenya. Kisumu formerly Port Florence, is the Kenyan inland port city on Lake Victoria.

The rock formation is located about a km from the Kisumu-Bondo road. KIT- MIKAYE: According to the Luo legend, these famous rocks form the place where Mikaye (the mother of Luo tribe) sheltered herself after a long journey down the Nile.

The local people still believe that Mikaye can be spotted around this place to this today. Included in the tour is also a visit to Ndere Island National Park located on Lake Victoria.

The Island is a 45 minutes ride on a speed boat direct from Kisumu city or a 40 km drive and a 20 minutes boat ride to the island.

Ndere Island National Park is a haven for birds. Covered mostly in grassland, Ndere Island provides beautiful scenic views of the Homa hills to the south, Mageta Island to the east and the glimpses of Kampala in Uganda beyond the south west horizon.

After breakfast, explore the legendary stone of Kit Mikayi (The weeping rock). Kit Mikayi is a large rock with three rocks on top, standing tall above many surrounding rocks in Kangeso village.

It is rested up near Ndere Island. The stone’s features and structure represents the Luo cultural polygamous. Kit Mikayi is part of Mt Elgon and Cherangani hills ecosystem.

It has also become a popular local pilgrimage site for adherents of the Legio Maria sect who come to the rock to pray and fast for several weeks at a time.

After lunch drive back to Nairobi arrive late in the evening.

2 Nights 3 Days Kenya Barack Obama Roots Safari is a short cultural trip that takes you to the community of Nyang’oma Kogelo village where the father of the USA President Barack Obama’s father was born and bred.

The tour begins in Nairobi. Kogelo, also known as Nyang’oma Kogelo, is a rural village in Alego – Siaya District, Nyanza Province, Kenya.

Kogelo village is located near the equator, 40 km west-northwest of Kisumu City (the provincial capital). The Kisumu–Siaya road leads to Kogelo branching from Ng’iya junction.

You tour will include the following places:
– Local Ngiya market
– Equator line at Maseno
– Local villages in the surrounding
– Kogelo dispensary & Kogelo market
– Senator Barack Obama Secondary School (located just behind the home)

Day 2: Kisumu – Kogelo (Obama's Home)
After breakfast at your residence, proceed to Kogelo taking the Kisumu Busia road which will take about an hours’ drive. Along the way we pass the Maseno University and proceed a further 150 meters to the Equator Line Point.

After a photo session along the Equator line, we proceed to Luanda town then, then divert to the left as we drive to Ngiya market. Usually every Tuesdays are market days.

Our next stop is a visit to Kogelo Dispensary located 15 minutes away from Ngiya market. Next visit the Kogelo market, Kogelo primary school and later Senator Barack Obama Secondary School.

You will then enter Sarah Obama’s home behind the secondary school. Kogelo is the ancestral home of Barack Obama Senior, the father of former United States President; Barack Obama.

Barack Obama Senior is buried in the village. Some of their family members, including his paternal grandmother Sarah Anyango Obama, still live in the home.

.At Sarah Obama’s home, you will find both the grave sites for Barack Obama Senior and his father’s. You will visit the vegetable garden, the cattle Boma and sit under the big mango trees where Sarah will give you the history of the home etc

Later return back to Kisumu arriving early evening. After the visit, you will proceed to Siaya town and onto Yala Swamp before crossing the River Yala and onto Bondo district and then back to Kisumu city for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Kenya. It covers an area of about 11,747 square kilometers.

The park contains some fantastic terrain, including rivers, lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks with a wide variety of vegetation, including grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains and savanna.

This wilderness, seemingly so hostile, is nevertheless inhabited by a wide range of plains' game including zebra, several species of antelope among them lesser kudu and hartebeest, warthog and ostrich as well as elephant herds which plunder their way through bush and scrub to the permanent waters of the Athi River.

Amboseli National Park is one of the classic images of East Africa, let alone Kenya, is that of a herd of elephant strolling across the plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro in the background.

The park is one of the smaller game parks in Kenya, but it offers you the best opportunity of seeing the critically endangered black rhino, along with a spectacular range of wildlife.

Streams from Kilimanjaro surface in the centre of Amboseli, creating swamps that attract and support a rich diversity of wild animals and birdlife.

Most of Amboseli is flat and dusty and so the best spots for game viewing are these wetlands.

Great views from Observation Hill: Amboseli National Park is predominantly flat except for several rocky outcrops and a small hill where you can get fabulous views of the national park and Mt Kilimanjaro. Observation Hill is great as a lookout as well as a place to take pictures.

Amboseli swamps – A huge swamp which covers a large part of Amboseli National Park is fed by underground rivers from Mt Kilimanjaro's melting snow. Elephants& hippopotamus enjoy soaking in the cool water and are never short of food.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Amboseli National Park
Wake up for an early game and scenery viewing drive. Sunrise catches us with its splendor as the drama of the wild unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.

The greenery surrounding the springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms the bulk of Tsavo East.

Later on return to the hotel for breakfast and then depart for Amboseli. The 245 km's journey will be through jungle to arrive at our base in Amboseli in time for lunch.

We will freshen up, enjoy our buffet lunch and while it away until late afternoon when we set out to explore the Amboseli.

Enjoy an optional visit to a Masai village with afternoon safari game drive.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Watamu
After an early morning breakfast, set out for an early game drive. The morning is always good to view Mount Kilimanjaro and herds of elephants returning to the swamp for morning feeding.

3 Days 2 Nights Watamu Tsavo East Tsavo West Safari is a short overnight safari from Watamu to TsavoEast National Park and Tsavo West National Park.

Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park  were once a single park, but are now separated.

Tsavo West National Park is situated west of its sister, Tsavo East National Park, and is approximately 173 kilometers north-west of Mombasa.

Tsavo East National Park is considered the best for topography fans who also want to view Kenya's animals and birds. It is one of the oldest and largest African safari parks in Kenya.

It was established in 1948 and covers 11,747 km², although not all of the park is open to the public.

These are the most common Kenyan animals you may see during your visit to Tsavo East National Park: Cape buffalo, cheetahs, duikers, African elephants, gazelles, gerenuks, giraffes, hares etc.

Day 2: Tsavo East  – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Today we depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned.

The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops.

With a permanent water source, the Park virtually guarantees enormous herds and excellent game viewing including Cheetah, Lion, Leopard and Hyena and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants.
