4 Days 3 Nights Thomson Falls Aberdare National Park Trip | 4 Days 3 Nights Thomson Falls Nyahururu Aberdare Safari |
|
4 Days 3 Nights Thomson Falls Aberdare National Park Trip is a holiday that combines a visit to Nyahururu Thomson Falls, Nyahururu town and a night at the Ark Tree Lodge in the Aberdare National Park for high altitude game viewing.
Our 4 Days 3 Nights safari from Nairobi takes you to Nayhururu Thompson Falls. Nyahururu is a town in Kenya, lying east of Nakuru.
Nyahururu Town lies at high altitude (2360 meters) with a splendid climate and is Kenya's highest town. There is a market well worth a browse especially on Saturdays.
An explorer, Joseph Thomson, came across the waterfall to the north of the town in 1883 which he named Thomson's Falls after his father. He was the first European to walk from Mombasa to Lake Victoria.
The cascade plunges 75 meters, and is a pretty area to walk around. A stony path of sorts leads down to the bottom of the ravine.
Do not attempt to go down any other way as the rocks on the side of the ravine are very loose.
It's more commonly known as 'T-falls'. Upstream on the Ewaso Narok River is found one of Kenya's highest altitude hippo pools in an area of marshy bog land, about 2 km from the falls.
We also visit the Aberdare National Park, famous for high perches and balconies, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Here we will enjoy the finest in high-altitude game viewing.
Animals easily observed in the Aberdare National Park include; Rhino, leopard, baboon, Colobus monkey, Sykes monkey, lions, the golden cat and the bongo antelope that lives in the bamboo forest.
Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the Jackson's Francolin, sparry hawk, goshawks, eagles, sun birds and plovers.

|
|
4 Day Aberdare National Park Samburu Game Park Safari from Nairobi offers a rich wildlife safari experience.
Start with a visit to the Aberdare National Park for high altitude game viewing and proceed to Samburu National Reserve located in Kenya's northern dry region.
Our 4 Days 3 Nights Aberdare National Park and Samburu Game Reserve Safari begins and ends in Nairobi.
The safari departs Nairobi by road to the central highlands of Kenya for an overnight game viewing at a tree hotel within the Aberdare or Mount Kenya National Park.
Animals abound in the Aberdare National Park/ Mount Kenya National Park includes: Elephant, Buffalo, Giant forest hog and Kenya's indigenous endangered Black Rhino.
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark is a unique tree lodge with a veranda that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick allowing undisturbed views of wildlife visiting the waterhole.
The other two lodges are The Tree Tops lodge and the Serena Mountain Tree Lodge. Elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck and occasionally an elusive bongo and giant forest hog have been sighted.
After a night at the Tree lodge you proceed to the Samburu Game Reserve situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya.
This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephant, lion, giraffe and zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted.
The Reserve is not particularly well–known and is therefore not too crowded – a huge plus in Kenya where so many reserves are often overflowing with tourists.
It is often grouped together with the Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves as they lie so close together. After a two night stay in this great reserve you return back to Nairobi by road.

4 Days Mombasa Safari Tsavo East Amboseli Taita Hills from Mombasa is an ideal holiday for guests vacationing in Mombasa.
This is a short safari that travels through Tsavo East, Amboseli National Park and Taita Hills.
During your 4 Day safari you have excellent opportunities to view a diverse variety of wildlife and the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Our 4 Days 3 Nights Safari from Mombasa begins with a visit to Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo East National Park is a natural area of flat, dry plains, with thorny bushes and swampy marshland near the river.
Key attractions in Tsavo East include the Galana River and the Yatta plateau, as well as several pools and dams used as watering holes by both birds and animals.
It is teeming with diverse Kenyan animals including large families of giraffes, gazelles, hartebeests and zebras, as well as the "Big Five" must-see animals – buffalo, African elephants, lions, rhinos and leopards.
Our next stop on our 4 Days 3 Night safari is the Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants.
There are over 900 African elephants in Amboseli, as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffes, African lions, monkeys, zebras, hyenas and antelope.
Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals.
There is also a host of Kenya birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting.
From Amboseli National Park we travel to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – a privately owned wildlife sanctuary in Kenya.
It is located in the Coast Province in Taita-Taveta District approximately 195 kilometers from Amboseli.
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary hosts Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, Masai lion, Masai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson's gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and other smaller animals, including a great diversity of bird life.
