Masai Mara National Reserve

This 4-day action-packed Kenya safari tour offers vast game viewing, wide open spaces and safari activities like boat rides, hot air balloon safaris, cultural tours and guided nature walks.

Beginning and ending in Nairobi, the trip takes you to Lake Naivasha, a small beautiful freshwater lake rich in bird life, and Masai Mara Game Reserve – Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake and is part of the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Masai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise.

The lake is home to a variety of wildlife; over 400 different species of birds have been reported. This freshwater lake is a birding paradise. There is a sizeable population of hippos in the lake.

Along the lake’s fabled waters, we are bound to see some of the area’s more intriguing species – Hippos, Giraffes, Buffalo, and even the arboreal Colobus monkey.

Our next destination is the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara provides the best view of the famous wildebeest migration as the animals cross the Mara River between July and August.

The Mara is also home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), zebras, antelope, gnus, Oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and others.

The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is as plentiful as wildlife at the Masai Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

The safari includes all park and reserve fees, a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, game drives in Masai Mara, return transport from Nairobi, services of a professional safari driver guide and full board accommodation for 3 nights in superb quality, well-located lodge/ camp.
