Our One Day Mt Meru Forest Hike starts from the Tengeru Cultural Centre 12 km's from Arusha town, along the Arusha – Moshi road. Tengeru Cultural Centre is located on the on the slopes of Mount Meru.

Walk through the forest of the second largest Mountain in Tanzania. Mount Meru has more than 10 different day trekking routes around the lower forest which last from 3 to 8 hours each.

0800 Hours: After breakfast depart from your hotel and drive to Tengeru Cultural Centre.  Upon arrival you will enjoy a refreshing cup of herbal tea, while having a briefing about the day hike by our guide.

0900 Hours: We start hiking.  You will follow the tropical trails under the banana canopy, while be listening to some thrilling legendary stories about Meru people from your guide. The majority of the hike is more like walking up a steep hill past numerous villages and people’s farms.

While walking up the mountain, you will explore the beauty of the forest’s flora and fauna – rich birdlife, beautiful butterflies, monkeys, forest antelopes, and a number of medicinal plants – enjoying at the same time spectacular views of the lower areas of Arusha.

1200 Hours: Hiking Mount Meru is bound to make you work up an appetite! We stop for lunch in a relaxing environment full of mountainous flowers. Lunch consists of bread, pancakes, juice and fruits.

1300 Hours: We continue hiking for another hour to reach the magnificent gigantic Meru Fall at the altitude of 2200 meters. You can take a dip in the cold, refreshing water for the waterfalls.

1400 Hours: After taking a few moments of relaxation at the fall, you will start heading back to the centre.

0800 Hours: Our Masai Cultural Village Arusha Day Tour departs Arusha or Moshi and drive to west Kilimanjaro. The 1.5 Hours drive will takes you through the beautiful countryside of West Kilimanjaro.

Depending on the season you will see wild animals like zebras and elephants. On clear days you will have amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

The Olpopongi Masai village involves more than 50 Masai women and men from the nearby Tinga-Tinga Masai-Village. This is the best place where you can see and experience the Masai culture and lifestyle.

All houses are built the traditional way with local and natural materials only – similar to those ones of the nearby Masai village. There are four English speaking Masai guides with whom you will spend a full day at Olpopongi touring the museum and village.

1000 Hours: Upon arrival you are welcomed by the local Masai with a traditional welcome song and dance. From there we take a walk around the village with the guides and also visit the precious little museum, where you will learn about the history, social organization and tools of Masai people.

1200 Hours: In-between this lecture a traditional Tanzanian lunch will be served to give you enough energy for an exciting afternoon.

1300 Hours: After lunch we visit the midwife and herbalist for a traditional tea in one of the huts. You will learn about the everyday life in a Masai village.

After this very spiritual meeting, we have a short break, which you can use for some traditional jewellery shopping or coffee and tea. You can buy authentic Masai souvenirs which are produced by the local Masai women.

After tea we embark on a bush walk to learn about the endemic plants and their usage for the Masai. Our day will be rounded up with a fire making session.

Arusha Meserani Snake Park Masai Village Day Tour is an exciting trip to the Meserani Snake Park for those who are fascinated by snakes!  Aside from the snake park, there is a Masai cultural museum where you will learn about the ways and lives of the Masai tribe.

You will have lunch at a restaurant before taking a camel ride. The camel ride leaves from the gate at Meserani Snake Park and takes approximately 30 minutes to the village.

Along the way you will get a chance to chat with the Masai guide and enjoy beautiful scenery. You will tour the local village and see how the Masai live. The whole camel trip to the local village and back to the snake park lasts about 2 hours.

If time permits you can check out the 1500 Hours crocodiles feeding time. You may touch a baby crocodile.

0830 Hours: Lake Duluti canoeing Arusha day trip departs after breakfast where we pick you from your hotel/ residence and transfer you to Mountain Village Lodge (Tengeru- a 20-minute drive away from Arusha.

0930 Hours: Upon arrival we board our canoe for a boat trip. Glide across the smooth surface of this small Crater Lake and view birdlife seldom seen; giant kingfisher, fish eagle, darters and many more. The canoe tour lasts 2 to 2.5 hours.

Lake Manyara National Park 1 Day Trip is a full-day trip from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. The park lies 1.5 hours (126 km's/ 80 miles) west of Arusha, Tanzania along a surfaced road and close to the ethnically diverse market town of Mto wa Mbu.
