    Sentrim Amboseli Lodge is located on the border of Amboseli National Park, 3 km from Kimana gate and offers amazing veiws of of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

    Sentrim Amboseli Lodge distance from Nairobi via Namanga is 240 km on the Nairobi-Arusha road, through Meshanani gate.

    The other road is via Emali 228 km on the Nairobi-Mombasa road. Access from Mombasa is mainly through Tsavo West via Kimana gate.

    It takes approximately 4 hours by road to Amboseli Sentrim from Nairobi and 35 minutes by air. Sentrim Amboseli  is 15 km from Amboseli airstrip.

    The lodge has 60 luxury tents/ houses and 2 family houses. Each tent/ house is en-suite and features a minibar, tea/coffee making facilities and safety deposit box. The family house has a living area.

    There is an onsite restaurant that serves a variety of cuisines. The main dining room has a sitting capacity of 120, but meals can also be enjoyed at the guests’ private veranda.

    The well stocked bar serves soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits. Guests can relax and unwind in the open air lounge.

    Surrounded by a shady sunbathing area with sunbeds and umbrellas, is the swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

    The lodge has a well equipped conference hall that can hold up to 30 delegates. There is also a massage parlor that offers massages and other body rejuvenating treatments.

    Activities in the Sentrim Amboseli Lodge include game drives, village visits, bird walks, bush meals, sundowners, guided nature walks, hot air balloon safari and in-house cultural activities.

    Selenkay Adventure Camp Amboseli is a budget camp located within the 15000 acre Selenkay Conservancy within the Amboseli Eco-sysyem, about 16.1 kilometers North of Amboseli National Park.

    The camp lies 230 kilometers South of Nairobi. The Amboseli eco-system is an important dispersal area and rangeland for wildlife migrating in and out of Amboseli National Park.

    The camp has small dome tents which can fit 2 guests each. The tents are 6 ft high and 10ft x 10ft square and are insect-proof. Guests sleep on either foam mattresses on the tent floor or sleeping bag.

    Each tent its own private bathroom in a cubicle located immediately behind the tent with flush toilet, wash basin and safari shower. Guests have the option of hiring camping facilities or bring their own camping gear.

    There are staffs at the camp that attend housekeeping chores associated with camping and provides wholesome meals.

    Guests can have their meals in the separate dining tent or out in the open on most fine weather days.

    Activities in the Selenkay Adventure Camp Amboseli include day game drives, nature walks, picnics and night drives in the Selenkay Conservancy. Guests can visit the local village and even visit the Amboseli National Park.

    David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage Giraffe Centre Nairobi Tour is a half day city excursion that combines two popular Nairobi attractions – the Giraffe Centre and the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

    Pay a visit to the Giraffe Center to observe the Rothschild’s Giraffe at close quarters and feed them while taking pictures. The Giraffe Centre is a conservation centre that breed the endangered Rothschild's Giraffe in captivity.

    The giraffes are later moved to  Lake Nakuru National Park, Mwea Game Reserve, Rumba National Park and Nasalot Game Reserve.

    Next you will spend an hour at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage observing baby and young orphaned elephants: viewing is strictly between 1100 Hours and 1200 Hours.

     David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage Giraffe Centre Nairobi Tour Itinerary

    0830 Hours: The tour begins by a pickup from your hotel/ residence within Nairobi followed by a transfer to the Giraffe Centre – a conservation centre that breeds the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe in captivity and reintroduces them into the wild.

    Located 17 km from the City Centre in the Karen suburbs, the center has rescued, hand-reared and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into the wild since opening in 1979.

    This attraction offers opportunities to feed the endangered Rothschild's giraffe by hand.  The opportunity to observe the Rothschild’s Giraffe at close quarters and feed it is simply priceless.

    The Giraffe Centre has a raised feeding platform that places visitors at eye level with these animals. Visitors to the Centre are given pellets to hand feed the Giraffes.

    Most visitors getting their pictures taken while in the act. These giraffes, having been accustomed to humans, like to converge at the platform and flick their tongues out for the pellets.

    1015 Hours: Proceed to the David sheldrick elephant orphanage located in a secluded area of the Nairobi national park. Here, orphaned baby elephants and other animals are taken care of by a dedicated team of conservationists.

    The elephant orphanage is open to the public one hour a day. It is run by Daphne Sheldrick, the wife of the late famous Naturalist, David William Sheldrick, who was the founder Warden of Tsavo East national park

    1100 Hours: The baby animals are brought from the national park for a mud-bath at the orphanage for an hour where you can get close to them and sometimes touch them. You shall have an opportunity to view the handlers feeding them.

    There is a keeper who will give a talk about the baby elephants origin and progress. You will see the youngest elephants come trotting out of the bush to greet their keepers who stand at the ready with giant bottles of milk.

    For the next 10 to 15 minutes you will watch each little one slurp and gargle their milk. Then, you'll have time to watch the elephants play. You find out how old they were when they arrived at the orphanage, where they were rescued from, and what got them into trouble.

    The most common reasons for getting orphaned being: mother's poached, falling into wells, and human/ wildlife conflict. Once the youngest are all fed, they are led back into the bush, and it's the turn of the 2-3 year olds. Some of them can feed themselves, and some are still fed by their keepers.

    Note: There is also a private viewing session in the afternoon of each day for foster parents which allows you to see the animals in private where you may interact with them this requires advance booking.

    1200 Hours: Later transfer back to your Nairobi hotel/ residence.

    Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli National Park is camouflaged in a forest of fever trees and palms inside the Amboseli National Park, about 270 km South East of Nairobi.

    The flying time from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Amboseli airstrip is 35 minutes. The closest airstrip is Amboseli (12 minutes away). The lodge is built in a location offering majestic views of the snow capped Mt Kilimanjaro.

    There are 80 luxury twin rooms all elegantly furnished. Each en-siute guestroom features a fan, work desk, mosquito net, tea/coffee making facilities and furnished verandah.

    The onsite restaurant serves al a carte menus as well as set buffets with local and international cuisines. Guests can enjoy their meals in the cosy dining area or out on the veranda. Barbecues are also available.

    The lounge area is elegantly furnished for guests to relax and unwind. There is an open-air bar that serves a wide selection of beers, cocktails, liqueurs and fresh fruit juices.

    Above the bar is a roof level deck that offers amazing views of the marshlands and Kilimanjaro.

    Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli has a conference room that is fully equipped with video, flip charts, overhead projector and other relevant apparatus. The room can accommodate up to 200 delegates.

    There is an outdoor swimming pool shaded by the occasional acacia tree where guests can have a swim. The pool deck has sun beds for relaxation in the hot afternoons.

    Muteleu Maasai Traditional Village is located in the 4000 acre Merrueshi Ranch, 34 kilometers south of Emali town.

    The Eco camp is 45 minutes drive from Amboseli National Park's Iremito Gate and was original used by Maasai Moran (Warriors) during special ceremonies, cultural activities and age-set passages.

    The camp has 10 manyattas (typical Maasai huts) build with the traditional system: wood, straw and mud. The ceiling is 2 meters high and the floor is paved with Galana stones.

    Each manyattas is has 2 beds, flush toilet and shower with a view of the bush and there is also solar panels to provide for light.

    Guests can enjoy local meals in the communal restaurant amidst the manyattas. The food is prepared from fresh and natural ingredients acquired from the camp’s farm or from the local farmers.

    Activities in the Muteleu Maasai Traditional Village include taking cattle herding, fetching water, collecting wood and making crafts items.

    In the evenings guests dance and sing around the bonfire, swap stories with the locals and even enjoy the starry sky .
