3 Day Road Safari Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Amboseli National Park

Your safari begins in Nairobi, where you depart by road for Amboseli National Park (approximately 4–5 hours). Along the way, enjoy views of rural Kenya and local homesteads before arriving at Ol Tukai Lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in Amboseli, exploring the park’s swamps, grasslands, and open plains. Amboseli is world-famous for its elephants, often seen in large herds against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Other possible sightings include zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and lions.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park

Today is dedicated to discovering Amboseli’s wildlife and scenery in depth. After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through the park before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Amboseli Safari Transport

Your road safari is conducted in custom-built 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs, ideal for photography and wildlife viewing. Each car is equipped with a cooler box to keep drinks chilled while in the bush. To ensure comfort and excellent visibility, safaris operate with a maximum of six guests per vehicle, guaranteeing every traveler a window seat.

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Depart Nairobi and drive south to Amboseli National Park (a 4-hour journey of 102 miles), arriving at Amboseli Ol Tukai Lodge before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will enjoy an evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which the Amboseli is famous.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. The Game Park also contains huge populations of buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species, such as impala.

Amboseli National Park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and many other species of plains game. The park also boasts an abundance of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, pelicans, African fish eagles, and falcons.

Breakfast at Oltukai Lodge then visit a Masai Village (at an Extra Cost) or relax at the Lodge. After lunch enjoy some more leisure time before the evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then we head back to the chaotic city of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, arriving at about 1600 hours in the afternoon. This safari ends upon arrival back in Nairobi.
