Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
In the morning after breakfast, you'll be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara. It takes about 45 minutes from Wilson to the Masai Mara.

Upon arrival Kicheche Mara Camp Safari staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you across the plains to the camp.

Freshen up before lunch. Afterwards, relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to Kicheche Mara Camp for hot showers, then an aperitif before dining under the stars.

Day 2: Explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve
Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent. At dawn set off for another drive on the plains. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast.

Afterwards, take an escorted walk around the camp grounds learning about the flora and medicinal uses of various shrubs and trees.

This walk also offers another perspective in viewing the terrain and fauna whilst crossing the plains and traversing bush land in the surrounding areas.

Lunch and a chance to enjoy a siesta in one of the hammocks slung between the trees. This afternoon you may wish to visit a traditional Masai Manyatta (village) or take another late afternoon game drive.

Return to Kicheche Mara Camp for an evening around the campfire.

Day 1: Rwanda Arrival – Drive to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be picked up and drive straight to the home of the Gorillas, Volcanoes national park. It is located in the North-western part of Rwanda in the Virunga ranges.

The gorillas found this a permanent home because of the vegetation which is good for them and provides plenty of food. The vegetation is Bamboo and rainforest. Not only have the mountain gorillas found this a permanent home, but also other animals like golden monkeys, chimpanzees enjoy living there.

The Zoologist Dian Fossey had a good stay in this park while relating with the gorillas before she was murdered. Arrive in time for lunch, enjoy the meal, later relax or visit the twin lakes or other places of interest surrounding the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking, Parc National des Volcans – Drive to Kigali
Have breakfast and go to Volcanoes Park Headquarters Kinigi for briefing about the gorilla trekking encounter commencing at 8am local time. The earlier arrival allows you to explore the traditional performances of the local Rwandese demonstrating their culture and also a hot cup of coffee/ tea is available.

The time approaches and the performances stop, the gorilla families are allocated and then briefing follows in your respective groups.  You attend to briefing about the gorilla trekking conduct after being allocated the respective gorilla family to track.

From briefing, you connect to the trail head to embark on the hiking encounter traversing the impressive mountainous landscapes before coming across the gorillas. The one hour with mountain gorillas is rewarding as you see them forage, socialize and the young ones playing.

You have the opportunity to take as many photos as you can to keep memory of your lifetime encounter with the gorillas. Retreat from activity and embark on the transfer back to Kigali to mark the end of the Rwanda gorilla tour.

AndBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas Tented Camp are luxurious semi-permanent tented camps located in the Serengeti, Tanzania and moves within range of the Great Migration.

Semi-permanent means that the camp are set up for a few months in the same place, before they are moved to a new location within the Serengeti National Park.

The mobile camps moves 5 times during the year, attempting to anticipate the movements of the Great Migration Serengeti airstrip nearest to the current position of the camps (Seronera, Ndutu, Grumeti or Kogatende).

This is the ultimate in luxury camping, complete with a private butler service, chandeliers, silverware, crystal, en-suite flush water closet and comfortable beds with fluffy duvets. There are usually 9 tents including 1 family tent, His and hers hot bucket showers and flush toilets; WI-FI in tents.

There is usually a third camp to be found outside the Serengeti National Park, in Klein's own safari area in the Loliondo Reserve in the northeast of the Serengeti. This is sometimes known as 'Klein's under Canvas', and normally operates from June to around December.

Serengeti Under Canvas Camps consists of 9 large, luxury tents with en-suite bucket showers which are open to the sky, and separate flush toilets. These have high-quality fixtures and fittings, including Indian rugs and percale linens.

There's also a stylish dining and lounge tent, where you'll be served using crystal glasses and silver. Expect excellent food. However, note that there's no running water or electricity – but there are gas lamps dotted around the camp, and each tent has battery-operated lighting and a torch is supplied.

(There is a power outlet (220volts Alternate Current) in the vehicles which can be used to charge camera batteries.)

Serengeti Under Canvas camps within the Serengeti National Park concentrate on game drives, whilst the camp in the Klein's area of Loliondo also offers guided walking and night drives.

When camping within easy reach of Seronera area, the team at the camp will usually assist in organizing a hot-air ballooning trip (at extra cost). Obviously this is always subject to the camp being within reach of the launch site.

AndBeyond  Serengeti Under Canvas camps are usually two located within the Serengeti National Park: these tend to be in the South of the Park from January to May, and then they move to the North of the National Park for June to December.

AndBeyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is a luxury safari accommodation situated in a remote valley in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, just 50 km (31 Miles) East of Lake Victoria – Africa's Largest Lake.

Flying time from Arusha Airport in Tanzania to Grumeti Airstrip in the Serengeti National Park is 50 minutes from where you will be transferred by road to the camp, approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

By road, you drive north westwards through the Serengeti along the Arusha – Musoma road on a journey of 450 km (6 to 7 hours). Grumeti River Camp is about 93 km West of Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

AndBeyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is nestled in a remote, untouched area on the by-waters of the Grumeti River.

The riverine trees surrounding the camp are home to the black and white Columbus monkey and a large variety of birds, although located in a quiet secluded valley this area is very much alive with hippos and crocodiles.

Every year between June and July, Africa’s annual Great Migration passes through Grumeti, and hundreds upon thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles.

Blue Post Hotel Thika is located off Thika Super highway about 40 km from Nairobi. The hotel is about 5 km away from the industrial town of Thika and is nestled between two falls; Chania and Thika.

The hotel is 25 km away from Fourteen Falls, 30 minute drive from Nairobi Central Business District and Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park lies to its South East. The hotel was started in 1908; as a stopover for white settlers who lived and farmed in central Kenya.
