High view Hotel is a 3-star hotel located at a high elevation above Karatu town. The hotel offers a magnificent view over the surrounding hills, local coffee farms, and the forests of the Southern Ngorongoro Conservation area.

The property is around 3.5 km from Sumawe Complex. High-view Hotel is the ideal base for excursion trips to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park, and Lake Eyasi area as well as longer trips.

The hotel has 41 rooms, all tastefully furnished and decorated with king-size twin beds and en-suite bathrooms with toilets and hot showers. Meals are served at the restaurant or outside in the gardens in front of the hotel. The kitchen offers a selection of local and continental dishes which are served a la carte or buffet style.

The hotel rooms are located reposefully on top of a small hill – in a building separate from the building which has the reception, lounge, and restaurant. This guarantees you maximum calmness and relaxation. However, the distance between the two buildings is very short and it’s an easy promenade through our beautiful gardens.

In the hotel’s spacious lounge you can enjoy a drink at the bar, play a selection of board games, browse the internet or relax in front of the open fire. The hotel regularly presents cultural shows including local music, dance, and acrobatics. A swimming pool is also available.

The gardens are well-maintained and there are well-shaded garden chairs. There is a separate area where we grow organic vegetables and fruits are being served in our restaurant. The is also a gift shop that offers local souvenirs which are produced environmentally friendly.

Activities at the hotel include; guides to local excursions such as a visit to the Iraqw tribe, a hike in the local area to see waterfalls and the elephant cave, birdwatching, and visiting a coffee plantation.
