Taita
Hills Game Sanctuary 2 Nights Safari starts from Mombasa
Island and takes you Taita Hills Game Sanctuary which
borders Tsavo West National Park. The Park shelters
many animals because there is plenty of water. Large
herds of elephants and other plains game migrate to
the sanctuary from Tsavo each year. Our accommodations
will be at the Taita Salt Lick Lodge which is a Tree
Lodge located in the Park.
Day
1
Mombasa
– Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
In the morning you will be picked from your Beach
Hotel and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary.
Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge. After
lunch, game drive in the sanctuary until sunset. During
our afternoon game drive you may see lions, cheetah,
baboons, giraffes, elephants etc. Dinner and overnight
at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. Salt
Lick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative
structure. A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over
a series of water holes. The two-store towers, topped
by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air-bridges,
creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress.
The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind
- you can see animals in all directions because it
offers spectacular open views.

Enjoy an early morning game drive before returning
to our lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, continue
with the mid-morning game drive in the sanctuary and
later have lunch at Sarova Taita Hills lodge. After
lunch depart back to Mombasa overland arriving in
the early evening. Transfer and drop off at your Beach
Hotel.
