Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Fly-in Safari 4 Days 3 Nights is a wonderful fly-in safari to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is an award-winning conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy‚ also known as Lewa Downs‚ lies in Laikipia in the foothills of Mt Kenya and has savannah plains‚ rolling hills and riverine forests.
Lewa Downs offers a combination of attractive scenery and superb game viewing‚ as well as a selection of lavish camps in which to stay. There are a total of 72 black rhinos (12% of Kenya’s black rhino population) and 65 southern white rhinos. Lewa also has significant numbers of all the Big Five‚ as well as the five northern species: Grevy’s zebra‚ reticulated giraffe‚ Somali ostrich‚ Beisa Oryx and the gerenuk. Over 400 species of birds have been recorded here.

The flying time from Nairobi to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy takes approximately 45 minutes stopping at any of the airstrips passengers require. Our Nairobi flight lands at an airstrip typically located conveniently near the Lewa Conservancy Lodge/camp you will be staying. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has a selection of traditional lodges‚ stunning safari camps and community-run camps.
Our representative will meet you at the strip and transfer you (with a 4×4 safari vehicle) to the lodge or camp where you will enjoy a wide variety of activities for everyone from the keenest bird watcher to the most intrepid conservationist to the most daring adventurer.
Game drives and bird watching are a good way to start all safaris‚ while watching the animals from the wildlife blind gives visitors the chance to get close to the animals that come to drink at the marsh. Meals and sundowners out in the bush make for a pleasant break during the day or evening. The Safaricom Lewa Marathon takes place in June every year.
At the end of your 3 night stay you will return by light aircraft to Wilson airport. Day 1 Nairobi – Fly to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
0630 Hours: After an early breakfast we transfer to Wilson airport for our scheduled flight to Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy.
0800 Hours: Depart Wilson airport by air to Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy. The scheduled flight takes about an hour.
0925 Hours: Arrive at the Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy. Upon arrival, our professional driver-guide will take you on a game drive en route to the lodge/ camp. Lewa animals include elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, Grevy’s zebra, impala, gerenuk, bushbuck, dik-dik, and many others.
1230 Hours: Arrive at your lodge/ camp followed by check-in and lunch. After lunch, you can relax before exploring the environs of the camp.
1530 Hours: Enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate then proceed for a game drive around the ranch. Activities include escorted game viewing drives in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, escorted horseback rides amongst the plains animals, and local walks. You also have an opportunity to enjoy a Night game drive tonight. And for bird lovers, there are 440 species of birds that have been recorded here.
1830 Hours: Return to camp/ lodge for dinner and overnight.
