Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp Bwindi Uganda is a luxurious accommodation located deep within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, South West Uganda. This camp is located a 10-minute walk from the park headquarters at Bwindi National Park.

Kihihi airstrip is the closest airstrip which is 1 hour and 15 minutes from the camp. The camp can also be reached by vehicle from Kampala; and there is also the option of a scenic road transfer from Kigali, Rwanda.

Kihihi airstrip is the closest airstrip which is 1 hour and 15 minutes from the camp. The scheduled flight from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Road transfer from Kampala to Bwindi takes 10 hours while Kigali (Rwanda) to Bwindi takes about 8 hours depending on the weather.

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp Bwindi Uganda is the only accommodation located within the national park, the camp boasts an unrivaled location with exceptional wildlife and birdlife viewing opportunities. There are Eight tents that feature queen-sized beds and generous bathtubs that look out onto the forest canopy.

The rooms are on raised wooden platforms but the overall structure is a strong canvas. There are two large beds, a desk area with a charging station, ensuite bathrooms, an outdoor free-standing bath, and a private veranda. Each room has its own WiFi connection. 

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp’s communal area stars a comfortable lounge with a well-stocked bar and elegant dining area, bestowing great views over the verdant rainforest. Come dusk, under star-strewn skies, and accompanied by the night chorus, guests gather around the central campfire and swap stories of that day’s adventures.

The bar and dining cottage overlooks the rainforest and a raised natural platform is built for open-air dining. A full English and continental breakfast are served before your morning activity.  All meals are à la carte and served in the bar and dining area.

Quiet and peaceful, even the small spa breathes the spirit of the forest. Treatments by the specialist therapist, Precious, include herbal massages, hydrating facials, foot massages, and manicures, and use luxury, eco-friendly products created with pure natural ingredients. There are also yoga kits in all the tents.

Activities available at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp include; Gorilla tracking, bird walks, forest walks, community walks, and Batwa tribe experiences are available.
