Sangaiwe Tented Lodge Tarangire

Sangaiwe Tented Lodge Tarangire is a mid-range accommodation facility located near the new Sangaiwe gate to Tarangire National Park with stunning views over Lake Burunge. The lodge is located on the outskirts of Tarangire National Park in a beautiful wooded hillside with beautiful trees around the lodge including the local indigenous African hardwood trees.

The lodge can easily be reached by both road and air. Arusha town is about 180km (2.3Hour drive) to the lodge. The nearest airstrip is Kuro airstrip and the Flying time takes about 30minutes followed by a 15km drive from the airstrip to the lodge.

Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.

Sangaiwe Tented Lodge Tarangire is in beautifully constructed tented rooms set on wooden platforms with a solidly attached bath, toilet, and dressing area. There are 20 tents, two of which are family suites. Each elevated tent has twin or double beds, a writing desk, ample places for luggage, and indoor and outdoor seating. Decks all have stunning views of Lake Burunge and the Rift Valley.

Other facilities available at the lodge include; wireless internet(WI-FI), and a restaurant. Sanguine Tented Lodge offers travelers to Tanzania luxury tented accommodation, great service, and fresh food. Enjoy swimming sessions at the outdoor pool which is flanked by recliner seats.

Other common resident animals in Tarangire include; waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog. The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins is found in Tarangire.
