10 Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday | Tanzania Beach & Safari Holiday | Zanzibar Holiday | 9 Nights Wildlife Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holidays | Tanzania & Zanzibar Packages Luxury Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach holiday | Zanzibar Holidays, Tours & Safaris, Tanzania

This classic 10-day Tanzania road Safari & Zanzibar Beach holiday combines three of Tanzania’s northern circuit parks;  Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater with a beach relaxation in Zanzibar, Tanzania’s most famous tropical island.

The tour kicks off in the town of Arusha near the foot of Mount Meru,  first visiting the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. This incredibly scenic national park is noted for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flamingo flocks.

Keep an eye out for buffalos, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes as well as antelopes such as bushbucks.  Lake Manyara also hosts an abundance of birds, including numerous waterbirds.

On day two we proceed by road to the world-famous and iconic Serengeti National Park visiting the Olduvai Gorge and a Maasai village to encounter Tanzania’s best-known ethnic group – the semi-nomadic Maasai.

We spend the entire day three on game viewing in Africa’s most famous national park – the Serengeti. The park’s main attraction is the Great Migration, consisting of up to 2 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 350,000 Thompson, impala, and grant’s gazelles – many consider it to be the most spectacular remaining African wildlife spectacle.

The predator viewing here is exceptional with approximately 3-4,000 lions and huge numbers of cheetah, leopard, and hyena. Other animals commonly found in the park include topi, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, elephant, caracal, serval, bat-eared fox, hyrax, genet, and hares.

There are also porcupine, aardvark, giraffe, jackal, mongoose, crocodile, monitor lizard, aardwolf, many kinds of primates including baboons, vervet and colobus monkeys, and over 500 species of bird.

Day four begins with a game drive in Serengeti National Park, before proceeding to the Ngorongoro Crater. On day five, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a six-hour game drive in this exceptionally wildlife-rich game park. The world’s largest unflooded caldera, Ngorongoro hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the densest mammalian population in Africa, with around 25,000 large animals. The diverse habitats found on the fertile crater floor support a variety of wildlife, including elephants, monkeys, hyenas, jackals, and herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and other antelope species.

On day six, we travel back to Arusha for our flight to Zanzibar Island. The next three nights are spent on Zanzibar Island enjoying Zanzibar’s sandy beaches, watersports, and cultural or outdoor activities.

Activities on Zanzibar include scuba diving, boat trips to Indian Ocean islands, and tours of Stone Town or the spice plantations. Accommodation on Zanzibar Island includes a choice of luxury 5 or 4-star accommodation at one of two Zanzibar resorts.

On day 10, you transfer to Zanzibar International Airport, where this 10 Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday comes to a close.
