Day 1: Wasini Island & Dolphin Spotting 

0730 Hours: Pick up from the hotel in Diani/Mombasa and drive to Shimoni
0900 Hours: Arrive in Shimoni, pay marine park fees, and board a traditional Arabic dhow
0930 Hours – 12:30 Hours: Sail to Kisite Marine Park, dolphin watching, and snorkeling/swimming with marine life
1300 Hours – 1430 Hours: Sail to Wasini Island for a traditional Swahili seafood lunch
1430 Hours – 1530 Hours: Guided walk through Wasini Village or visiting the Shimoni Slave Caves
Evening: Check into a local guesthouse/hotel in Shimoni for overnight

Day 2: Funzi Island & Ramisi River

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel in Shimoni

0900 Hours: Depart for Funzi Island, typically starting with a boat ride along the Ramisi River to see mangrove forests and crocodiles
1030 Hours: Visit the Funzi sandbank for swimming and relaxation
1300 Hours: Lunch on Funzi Island, featuring local cuisine
1500 Hours: Explore the local village on Funzi Island
1600 Hours – 1700 Hours: Return to the mainland and drive back to the hotel in Diani/Mombasa

0700 Hours: Pick you up from your hotel in Diani or Mombasa and drive to Shimoni, a port village and tourist destination in southeastern Kenya near the border with Tanzania and directly across from Wasini Island.

Once at Shimoni, we will board the dhow. (On the dhow: soft drinks, coffee, tea, snacks, and fruits. In addition to life jackets and rings, a toilet and a first aid kit.

0900 Hours: Sail for an hour (6 km off Shimoni, Kenyan Coast) to Kisite Marine Park “Home of the Dolphin”. Kisite is one of the most rewarding snorkeling locations on the coast. Here we spend 2 hours snorkeling. One can also do bird watching, diving, and of course, sunbathing.

1300 Hours: We sail to Wasini Island for a seafood lunch (crab and fish); vegetarian and chicken meals are available.  Soft drinks, beer, and wine are included with your meal.

1430 Hours: We check into our hotel on the shores of Shimoni village, and the rest of the afternoon is spent visiting Shimoni Slave Cave, swimming, going on low tide walks, and relaxing in your room with an ocean view.

Day 2: Shimoni – Drive to Bodo – Funzi Island – Diani/ Mombasa

0800 Hours: Enjoy breakfast at leisure at the hotel.

0900 Hours: After breakfast, we begin our Funzi Island adventure by taking a 40-minute car drive to BODO. Once at Bodo, we board a motorboat and visit the Ramisi River. The tour takes about 4 to 5 hours on a shaded boat. We sail along the Ramisi River, looking for the crocodiles as we enjoy the unique views of the river.

We continue to a beautiful sandbar where you can relax and swim.

1300 Hours: We proceed for lunch at Funzi village. After lunch, we will visit Funzi village to learn about the local culture.

1800 Hours: We return to Diani/ Mombasa
