2 Days 1 Night Malindi Safari Kipini Wildlife Conservancy is a short wildlife holiday to the less traveled and remote Tana River Delta at a small fishing village called Kipini, one of Kenya’s best-kept secrets. It is a wildlife conservancy at the heart of Kenya’s Tana Delta. One of the only places in Africa with turtles, lions, dolphins, and elephants on a beach!
Kipini wildlife conservancy is located along the coast of Kenya approximately 170 km north of Malindi by road. Kipini Conservancy Birds include Black-and-white Flycatcher, Green Tinkerbird, Pallid Honeyguide, African Crake, Southern Banded Snake Eagle, and Saddle-billed Stork amongst others.
This private coastal conservancy is an important habitat for rare and endangered trees and animals such as elephant, African buffalo, hippopotamus, reticulated giraffe, Burchell’s zebra, hirola, waterbuck, coastal topi, lesser kudu, gerenuk, desert warthog and eland among others.
Large carnivore species found in the area include lions, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and hunting dogs. The area also hosts marsh mongoose, small primates (vervets, black and white colobus, and Blue Sykes monkeys), various amphibians, and reptiles. 203 species of birds have been registered in the area including a healthy population of ostriches.
Among the trees found in the conservancy include Dume palms, Triclulia Emetia, Mvule, Terminalia, black palms, and elephant trees among others. In addition, is a diversity of marine life associated with more than 1000 coral fish and turtles. Several species of whales and dolphins including globally threatened dugong are also available.

Visit local villagers and small-scale farmers, and we see how they pluck the coconut off the palm trees, learn how they process maize for their daily consumption and have a chance to meet and talk to the local Orma and Somali people.
Deep Sea Fishing: Trophy quality marine game e.g. barracuda, swordfish, and black marlin are in abundance but the most notable is the dolphin that will definitely mesmerize you.
Wildlife Conservancy Game Drives: Animals include yellow baboon, mangabey, sykes, and vervet monkeys, Lion, Leopard, African Civet, African Wild Dog, elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, topi, black-eared kob, warthog, and bush-pig. The river is famous for its Crocodiles and hippos.

0800 Hours: After breakfast at your hotel in Malindi, depart by road to Kipini Wildlife conservancy located on the Kenyan coast where the Tana River (the biggest river in Kenya) drains into the Indian Ocean. The drive takes about 2.5 Hours from Malindi to Kipini Wildlife conservancy.
1030 Hours: Enjoy a mid-morning game drive in Kipini Forest Conservancy. Located along the coast of Kenya, the conservancy offers a unique mix of wilderness and a taste of the coast. It is simply beautiful and being in Kenya, a country endowed with incredibly diverse landscapes and unique geographical features all teeming with wildlife and home to more than 50 cultural communities.
1300 Hours: We arrive at our hotel/lodge located outside the conservancy. We check in and lunch follows.
1400 Hours: After lunch relax on the beautiful beach of Kipini. There are optional activities available today such as Riverboat excursions, Nature walks, Cultural excursions, Island hopping and explorations (snorkeling and googling), etc.
