The Vertical Bog (Day 1): A notorious, challenging section of thick mud and tussock grass that tests endurance, usually tackled in the morning to avoid rain
Point Lenana Summit (Day 2): A pre-dawn start to reach the summit by sunrise for dramatic views of the Batian and Nelion peaks, as well as panoramic views across the Kenyan plains

2 Days Climbing Mt Kenya Naro Moru Route Point Lenana: This trip offers a great opportunity to visitors with limited time to reach the third-highest peak of Mount Kenya (Point Lenana, 4985 meters).

Lenana, often referred to as Point Lenana, is a side peak of Mount Kenya. It is the third-highest summit (after Batian – 5199 meters and Nelion – 5188 meters) in the mountain.

Lenana is probably the most climbed peak in Kenya, and from the summit, you have excellent views of the impressive rock towers of Batian and Nelion, as well as glacial lakes and the rolling landscape of Mt Kenya National Park.

The approach itself is well worth the effort of making the trip.

You start from the agricultural lowlands, go through dense semi-tropical rain forests, arrive at rugged grasslands and high-altitude meadows, and finally, you’re in rocky surroundings with glaciers and snow.
