DAY 1: Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park

This outstanding Fly-in Amboseli Safari departs from Wilson Airport in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. We catch a scheduled flight at 0730 Hours, flying to the Amboseli Airstrip located inside Amboseli National Park.

Touching down at about 0815 Hours, you are met by the lodge’s driver and transferred to A&K Sanctuary Kitirua Plains Lodge. We enjoy our first game viewing en route to the lodge. Amboseli is known for its high concentration and diversity of wildlife, so we look forward to superb sightings.

Settle in at the lodge and tuck into a fresh lunch before embarking on a sunset game drive late this afternoon. Exploring Amboseli with professional guides in 4×4 safari vehicles, you are immersed in the African bush from the start – experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells up close. Along the way, we pause for sundowners in the untamed wilderness, taking in the scenery as the sky comes alive with glowing colours.

After sunset, we return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner and spend the evening relaxing in luxurious bush surroundings.

DAY 2: Amboseli National Park

Waking up in the heart of the African wilderness this morning, we prepare for a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park. The park is home to abundant wildlife, including four of Africa’s Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalo, and leopards.

Amboseli’s ecosystem of savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands, and wetlands supports a diverse range of animals, including:

✓ Hippos and other wetland species
✓ Giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo

DAY 3: Amboseli – Fly to Nairobi – Kenya

Last day in Amboseli. Wake up bright and early at the tranquil lodge and set off on either a guided bush walk in the private concession or a 4×4 game drive in the park. The bush walk offers unique opportunities to learn about local trees, plants, animal tracks, and smaller creatures, as well as photograph wildlife from a ground-level perspective.

After this final adventure, return to the lodge for a tasty breakfast. Then it is time to pack up and return to the Amboseli Airstrip, leaving the wild Amboseli behind.

At about 0815 Hours, we board our scheduled flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Arriving back in the city at about 0900 Hours, our short Fly-in Amboseli Safari comes to an end.

Amboseli Ground Safari Transport

Our 3-Day Fly-in Safari to A&K Sanctuary Kitirua Plains Lodge will be conducted in a custom-made 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for game viewing. The vehicles are adapted for photography and fitted with a cooler box to keep your drinks chilled while out in the bush. The maximum group size is six people, guaranteeing each guest a window seat on game drives.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park

Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport straight into Amboseli on a scheduled morning flight (35 minutes). On arrival at the Amboseli Airstrip, enjoy a short game drive en route to A&K Sanctuary Kitirua Plains Lodge, located within a 128-acre private concession on the Kenya–Tanzania border.

In the late afternoon, set out on an evening game drive for your first close-up encounters with the diverse wildlife for which Amboseli is famous, including its legendary elephant herds set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner and relax in luxurious bush surroundings.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park. Begin with a morning game drive across open plains, acacia woodlands, and wetlands alive with wildlife, then return to the lodge for a delicious lunch overlooking the savannah.

After a relaxing afternoon at the pool, wellness centre, or yoga deck, embark on an evening game drive in the park or the private concession, pausing for sundowners as the sun sets over the African landscape.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Fly to Nairobi

Start your morning with an early game drive or guided bush walk in the private concession, discovering smaller wildlife, tracks, and birdlife. Return for breakfast, then transfer to the Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
