3-Day Fly-In Safari Package Kipalo Hills Lodge begins with an hour’s flight from Wilson airport Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park. Nairobi -Tsavo flights depart in the morning at 0730 Hours and in the afternoon at 1500 Hours.

Depending on the airstrip you land in Tsavo West, (Kilaguni or Finch Hutton) you are met and transferred with a game drive to Kipalo Hills Lodge. Kipalo Hills Lodge is perched on the side of the Mbulia Hills bordering and overlooking Tsavo West National Park.

The lodge enjoys fantastic views looking out across the conservancy towards Ngulia and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. The name ‘Kipalo’ means ‘the place to return to again and again in the local Taita language. The word is taken from the ancient elephant rubbings on the rock and baobab trees surrounding the Lodge.

Mbulia Conservancy was initiated in conjunction with the local community with the lodge being built to benefit the local community by protecting the resident wildlife especially elephants. The lodge has 8 luxury double en-suite tents.

While at Kipalo you have activities such as day and night game drives, bush walks, bush meals, sundowners, and cultural visits to local Taita villages and visits Tsavo West or Tsavo East. There is also bird watching and Fly-camping down on the Galana and Tsavo Rivers which offer opportunities to sleep out under the stars.
