3 Day Fly-in Safari Sabuk Lodge Laikipia offers you a unique Kenyan air safari experience.

This flying safari package from Nairobi takes you to Kenya’s northern frontier district (Laikipia Plateau). Enjoy an hour’s flight to Loisaba Airstrip and a 35-minute game drive to Sabuk Lodge.

The luxurious en-suite cottages at Sabuk Lodge Laikipia create a feeling of living in another century in the unspoilt wilderness.

Sabuk Lodge is located in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District, overlooking the Laikipia Plateau, the Ewaso Nyiro River and Samburu land.

The Lodge has 6 large en-suite, open-sided rooms (doubles or twins) plus ‘Eagle Cottage’ which consists of 2 bedrooms with a sitting room and pool.

All rooms are built of stone, wood and thatch – very much in keeping with the landscape, but also very comfortable, and with fabulous views even from the baths of most rooms!

Each of the tents has a private verandah, which faces out over the river gorge 150 foot below. Part of this exciting adventure in the African bush is the chance to see all of the Big 5 from an open safari vehicle.

Sabuk Lodge is set in a private 1500 acres piece of land is home to a variety of wildlife including dik-dik, giraffe, zebra, leopard, elephant and the antelope.

The lodge offers guided day and night game drives, culture and safari walks, fishing, rock and artefacts hunting, bird watching, horse riding and camel safaris.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Laikipia (Losaba Airstrip)
Day 2: Explore the Sabuk Lodge Ranch
Day 3: Laikipia (Loisaba Airstrip) – Fly back to Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Laikipia (Losaba Airstrip)

0800 Hours: Depart Nairobi Wilson Airport (reporting time 0700 hours).

0855 Hours: Arrive at Loisaba Airfield and transfer to Sabuk Lodge Laikipia followed by lunch.

After lunch at the Camp, there is a chance to relax by the swimming pool before an evening game drive.

1530 Hours: Enjoy the evening game drive, which offers you a chance to view a wide variety of wildlife in this magical private ranch.

Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Explore the Sabuk Lodge Ranch

After a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate very early morning game drive in the Masai Mara – the ideal time to see the game as temperatures are cooler and hopefully lion, cheetah and leopard will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of prey.

Return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning at leisure or partake in optional activities, Samburu village visits, culture and safari walks, fishing, rock and artefact hunting, bird watching, horse riding and camel safaris.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to get a closer look at the 1500 acres piece of private land to look out for the ‘ Big 5 ‘. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Laikipia (Loisaba Airstrip) – Fly back to Nairobi

Early morning game drive on sunrise when predators are active and after breakfast, a short rest before you are transferred to the Airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en-route to Loisaba Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi departing at 1155 hours to arrive at Wilson Airport approximately at 1315 hours, thus ending this wonderful Sabuk Lodge Laikipia Safari.
