Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park
0730 Hours – 0800 Hours: Depart Nairobi, driving north through lush coffee and tea plantations
1200 Hours –1300 Hours: Arrive at the base hotel (e.g., Aberdare Country Club) for lunch
1430 Hours – 1530 Hours: Transfer to a tree lodge (e.g., The Ark or Treetops) inside the park
1600 Hours – 1830 Hours: Afternoon game viewing from the lodge’s viewing decks overlooking floodlit waterholes
1900 Hours – 2000 Hours: Dinner and overnight stay at the tree lodge
Day 2: Aberdare to Sweetwaters/Ol Pejeta Conservancy
0700 Hours – 0830 Hours: Breakfast and transfer back to the base hotel
0900 Hours – 1100 Hours: Depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp

3 Days 2 Nights Aberdare National Park Sweetwaters Safari is a wildlife vacation featuring two game Reserves that offer undoubtedly the most exclusive private game viewing in Kenya.
Our 3 Day safari begins with a visit to the Aberdare National Park, famous for its high perches and balconies, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Here we will enjoy the finest in high-altitude game viewing.
Animals easily observed in the Aberdare National Park include: rhino, leopard, baboon, Colobus monkey, Sykes monkey, lions, golden cat, and bongo antelope, which lives in the bamboo forest.
Bird watching is rewarding, with over 250 bird species in the park, including Jackson’s Francolin, sparrow hawk, goshawk, eagles, sunbirds, and plovers. A visit to Sweetwaters Game Reserve/Ol Pejeta Conservancy allows us to see Rhinos that are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns.
Here too, the Jane Goodall Institute operates a remarkable Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we meet the primates face–to–face. Special activities such as escorted game walks and horseback rides are available here.
3 Days 2 Nights Aberdare National Park Sweetwaters Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Aberdare National Park
0830 Hours: After breakfast, we drive Northwards to the lush foothills of snow-capped Mount Kenya – Africa’s second-highest mountain.
1200 Hours: You will arrive at the Hotel in time for lunch. After lunch, transfer to the Tree Lodge located in the Aberdare National Park.
1530 Hours: The afternoon will be spent relaxing on the balconies, viewing the Bunker and lounges, which provide superb vantage points for game viewing at the waterhole.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park – Drive to Ol Pajeta/ Sweetwaters Conservancy
0900 Hours: Today, we travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Rhino Reserve, also known as Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy – a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy – is situated on the equator, in Kenya’s Laikipia District, between the foothills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya.
1200 Hours: We arrive at our camp/ lodge. Lunch follows. Later, we embark on an afternoon game drive. Today, you also have the opportunity to go on a night game drive.
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah, and chimpanzee.

Other places of interest include: visit the Chimpanzees sanctuary, the Morani Center, Baraka, Rhino Cemetery, Equator Sign, Hippo Hide, Scott’s Hide, and Morani’s restaurant.
1400 Hours: Later, we depart for Nairobi, arriving at 1800 Hours.
