4 Days/ 3 Nights Amboseli National Park Safari is a journey to the wild heart of Africa’s legendary National Park – The Amboseli National Park – the most popular wildlife viewing tourist destination with Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa dominating its landscape. Our 4 Day/ 3 Night Safari has been carefully crafted to present the best of Amboseli without ever rushing or sacrificing the quality of the experience

4 Days 3 Nights Amboseli National Park Safari encompasses the magnificent scenery, wildlife, and adventure for which Amboseli National Park is famous. Our 4-day safari offers luxuriously long stays in the Amboseli, abundant time for rich wildlife viewing sessions.

Amboseli National Park lies immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Amboseli means a place of dust. The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, also form a backdrop to Kenya’s most spectacular displays of wildlife. The combination makes the park a photographer’s paradise. It is surrounded by communally owned group ranches.

The park is a popular wildlife viewing tourist destination with Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa dominating its landscape. The presence of the temporary lake Amboseli, the swamps, and marshlands fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro’s melting snows have made it a favorite spot for wildlife during the dry seasons.

Amboseli National Park is famous for its tranquil beauty that allows fabulous wildlife viewing, photography, and easily approachable wildlife. The heart of Amboseli woodland of ‘yellow fever trees’ and the doum palm known as ‘Ol Tukai’ by the Masai and ‘Makindu’ in Swahili. A cool oasis of trees, Ol Tukai is a retreat for wildlife and greatly favored by elephants.

Amboseli National Park is also the home of the famed Masai people, those tall, proud nomadic warriors whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with wild animals have spread across the world. They have learned to live in complete harmony with their environment and the wildlife which surrounds them.

Masai diet is a simple one, consisting mainly of meat and milk and also the blood cattle drawn by firing a collared arrow into the beast’s jugular vein mixed with milk. All around the park are occupied and abandoned manyattas- Masai villages quickly built out of bent poles and sticks and plastered with cow dung and equally swiftly abandoned when the grazing is finished and the herds must move on.

Covered by Savanna and acacia trees, the open flat plains will give you a superb chance to watch the herds of buffaloes and the graceful gazelles, zebras, warthogs, and waterbucks as they graze in and around the two permanent swamps such as the Enkongo Narok and the Olkenya lake swamp and marshes which are also hot spots for the elephants.

The rocky thorn bushes give the bird watchers a chance to spot a variety of unique birds to add to their bird’s list. This is one of the few places where the rare and beautiful Taveta Golden Weaver is found. There is an observation hill that will allow you to have a full and great view of the park.

Some of the common animals you might see are large families of elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, giraffes, cheetahs, monkeys, baboons, hippos, and prolific birdlife up to approximately 425 species.
