Note: The camp is 1 hour by private charter from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and has its own airstrip about a 10-minute drive away. Air transfers are also available from Malindi, Mombasa, Taveta, and Namanga. The drive from Nairobi takes about 6 hours, though flying is highly recommended for comfort and convenience.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Tsavo Chyulu Hills
After Breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, proceed on a game drive south towards Kilimanjaro into the magnificent Chyulu Hills on the southern border of Tsavo West National Park, and arrive at your accommodations, Campi Ya Kanzi.
Your accommodation for the next two nights is at Campi Ya Kanzi, which accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in six thatched-roof tented cottages and in the Hemingway and Simba suites. The tents are a wide variety, with wooden floors and en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets.
Campi Ya Kanzi is tastefully appointed using locally available materials and is very eco-friendly (solar power, conscientious use of natural resources, etc).
The area offers incredible views of Kilimanjaro, and you will have game drives into Tsavo West National Park (famed for its ‘red’ elephants and, of course, the legendary “man-eaters”) or on the Masai tribal lands, which serve as a nature conservancy.
You can also go on guided nature walks with Masai guides who still live very close to their traditional lifestyle. You’ll wish you had a week here.

Our 4-day Campi Ya Kanzi Luxury Camp fly-in safari from Nairobi starts with a transfer from your Nairobi hotel/residence to Wilson Airport. From here, you will fly by light aircraft to Campi Ya Kanzi airstrip. (The lodge operates a commercial 6-seat Cessna 206). It just takes one hour to fly from Nairobi to Campi Ya Kanzi airstrip.
