4 Days 3 Nights Queen Elizabeth Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari | 4 Day Uganda Safari Queen Elizabeth & Lake Mburo National Park | Lake Mburo National Park & Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari | Uganda Safari Holidays & Packages | Uganda Holidays & Gorilla Safaris | 4 Day Uganda Safaris
This 4-day wildlife safari combines two popular Uganda holiday destinations, Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda’s most popular and most accessible savannah reserve and Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest of Uganda’s savanna National Parks and the closest park to both Kampala and Entebbe.
A visit to both game parks in 4 days offers guests an opportunity to see plenty of wildlife, birds, and primates. Beginning and ending in Kampala, Uganda, the tour starts by traveling to Queen Elizabeth National Park located in western Uganda, a 5 to 6 hours drive from Kampala.
Queen Elizabeth Park is the most visited Ugandan park and here is why; get to see Tree climbing lions of the Ishasha sector, tracking chimpanzees at Kyambura Gorge, and game drives (the park has over 200 km of well-maintained game tracks).
We enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge/ camp and see wildlife such as the Uganda Kob antelope, elephants, lions, buffalo, waterbuck, warthogs, and various other antelope and bird species.
Day two begins with a morning game drive in the park and later in the afternoon, we embark on a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, getting up close to hippos, buffalos, and other wildlife. The boat trip offers excellent bird watching opportunities, as well as the chance to see elephants, warthogs, and Kobs.
The banks of the channel are home to a rich variety of birds, including Pink-backed Pelicans, Pied and Malachite Kingfishers, and Saddle-billed Stork.
On day three, we set off east to Lake Mburo National Park. This afternoon you have the option of exploring the lake by boat. The boat cruise is an excellent way to watch the animals and birds of the lake, especially the crocodiles and hippos found in abundance here.
Birding enthusiasts can look forward to spotting kingfishers, African fish eagles, and shoebill storks, amongst other waterbirds. Other activities in Lake Mburo include bird watching, a visit to the Igongo cultural center, guided nature walks, horse riding, fishing, and guided bike rides.
On day four we return to Kampala where our 4 days 3 nights Queen Elizabeth Lake Mburo wildlife safari comes to a close. Airport drop-off can be arranged free of charge, if you are flying out on the last day of the safari.
