4 Days Kenya Fly-in Safari Cottars 1920s Camp Masai Mara

Our 4 Days Kenya Fly-in Safari to Cottars 1920s Camp Masai Mara is a fantastic 3-night safari that includes a stay in Kenya’s top wildlife region, the Masai Mara. This safari will offer you a greater degree of exclusivity, as Cottar’s 1920s Camp is located within the private Olderkesi Conservancy and so offers a quieter safari experience, away from the crowds.

We highly recommend this 3-night safari to the private Cottars conservancy simply because it shares unfenced borders with Africa’s legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. This means that you get to enjoy the best of both worlds: you have all the advantages of the private conservancy with easy access to the Masai Mara Game Park.

You also get to enjoy added advantages that are not available while staying in Masai Mara National Reserve including night game drives, off-road game drives, crowd-free game viewing and guided nature walks.

Designed in an authentic 1920s style, Cottar’s Camp follows the iconic Out of Africa style and has access to a remote part of the Maasai Mara. The camp has nine tents in total (one unique honeymoon tent, four double tents and four family suites), all with en-suite bathrooms.

The family tents have living rooms with fireplaces. The entire camp is situated to ensure that tents are private and quiet whether for honeymooners or families with young children.

There are two main mess tent areas for fine dining, drinking, reading and relaxing, and an amazing pool and spa where guests can relax after a game drive. You will enjoy a safari bath or safari shower, a genuinely unique way of bathing specifically set up in the savannah.

The location of the camp provides easy access for day and night game drives to the Masai Mara game reserve and the conservancy, game walks, and cultural interactions with the Maasai community.

Your 3-night stay at Cottar’s 1920s Camp will contribute directly to the conservation of the surrounding area, helping both the wildlife and local communities to prosper.

Visit between (roughly) late July and the end of September to witness the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara, when hundreds and thousands of migratory wildebeest pour over the plains and crisscross the Mara River.
