5 Day Tanzania Fly-in Safari Gombe Chimpanzee Tracking
Day 1: Dar es salaam to Kigoma
Arrive Kigoma by a Flight from Dar Es Salaam or Arusha. The flight can take more than three hours to Kigoma. Pick Up on arrival and transfer to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. You can use your afternoon to explore Kigoma town and visit some attractions which are found there. Dinner at Sangara Restaurant in the hotel, Overnight at Kigoma Hilltop Hotel.
Pick clients from the place of staying in Dar es Salaam and drive to Julias Nyerere International Airport, ready for your flight to Kigoma town by Precision Air. Meet and greet at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel.
Day 2: Kgoma to Gombe Stream National Park
Breakfast at 0700 at the hotel and 08:45H transfer to the Lake for boat departure to Gombe, Pick Up on arrival and transfer to the Gombe Bandas. Hot Lunch at the Lodge and then after proceed for Chimpanzee Tracking in the forest, Dinner and Overnight at Gombe Bandas.
Early breakfast and transfer to Gombe National Park by boat. Short break at the beach. Depart for a walk in the forest. Bird watching, chimpanzee tracking goes to the nest site before dawn and wait for the group to wake up. After that, they just have to keep up. The chimps might sit and feed in one small area all day. Or they might travel across three valleys. Dinner and overnight stay at Gombe Rest House / Gombe Forest Lodge.
Day 3: Gombe Stream National Park
After an early morning Breakfast at the Banda, you depart at 08:00 to do the Chimpanzee Tracking in the forest. Search for the Climb to Kakombe Water Falls if time allows. We will stop for our Meals along the way and then proceed to the Banda. Overnight at Gombe Bandas.
Early breakfast, depart for Chimpanzee tracking. Gombe National Park is well known best for its chimpanzee communities, monkeys include the beachcomber olive baboons, and both red and red-tailed colobus monkeys frequent the forest canopy. Other animals frequently seen in the park are baboon, giraffe, buffalo, hippo, hyena, warthog, zebra and many antelope species. Picnic lunch boxes in the forest. In the evening hike back to the base. Relax at the beautiful beaches. Dinner and overnight stay at the Gombe Rest House / Gombe Forest Lodge
Day 4: Gombe Stream National Park
After an early breakfast at the Lodge, we depart at 08:00 for the Chimpanzee Tracking in the forest. We will Climb to Jane’s Peak if time allows have meals and return to the Banda for other activities like boating and fishing. Meals and Overnight at Gombe Bandas.
Morning after breakfast, depart for a short Chimpanzee tracking, then back to the rest house for the hot lunch and short rest. After short rest, take a boat for a ride in the lake and other beach sports. Dinner and overnight stay at Gombe Rest House/ Gombe Forest Lodge.
Day 5: Kigoma to Dar Es Salaam
After Breakfast at the lodge at 06:00, depart the Banda 07:00 for a transfer to the Lake for boat departure to Kigoma. Pick Up on arrival and transfer to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel Hot Lunch and then transfer to Kigoma Airport for a flight to Dar Es Salaam.
Morning after breakfast, catch a boat ready for transfer back to Kigoma town. Start a town tour through Kigoma ujiji old slave market, site of Henry Stanley’s famous “Dr Livingstone and watch the renowned dhow builders at work. Hot lunch at Aqua lodge and then transfer to the Airport ready for flying back to Dar es Salaam by Precision Air.
Meet at the airport and transfer to your overnight hotel.
