Murchison Falls National Park

This 5 day Uganda safari combines Uganda’s largest wildlife reserve – Murchison Falls National Park with Kibale National Park, the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. The tour begins and ends in Kampala/ Entebbe Airport.

The trip explores Uganda’s best national parks and begins with a visit to the Murchison Falls National Park, home to one of the most powerful stretches of white water in the world: Murchison Falls.

Murchison Falls National Park derives its name from the Murchison Falls where the mighty river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and buffaloes.

It is a beautiful park with a variety of wildlife includes; elephants, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kob, chimpanzees, and home to over 450 bird species such as the great blue turaco and dwarf kingfisher and the rare shoebill stock.

After spending 2 nights at the Murchison Falls we proceed to our next destination – Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest is the primate’s capital of the world that harbors the greatest variety and concentration of primates not found anywhere else.

It is an extensive National Park, protecting a large block of a rainforest that offers some exceptional opportunities for Chimps trekking and bird watching which makes this forest ideal for primate watching safaris in Uganda.

The local community plays an important role in the conservation of the park. It’s also ideal for a nature walk due to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary home of different bird species especially the great blue turaco and the other aquatic life found in the wetlands.

On the 5th and final day of this Uganda wildlife safari, we return to Kampala where our African adventure of a lifetime comes to a close in the early evening.
