5 Days 4 Nights Kenya Fly-in Safari Amboseli Masai Mara is a short and sweet wildlife holiday that takes you to Kenya’s most well-known national parks, the Amboseli National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Our 5-day fly-in safari begins in Nairobi with a flight to Amboseli National Park, the oldest in Kenya and, without doubt, one of the most attractive. The wildlife here roams freely through some of the most majestic scenery imaginable.
Amboseli is home to herds of elephants and places you in the best positions to see the big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. And, of course, you’ll be in close quarters with the largest species of giraffe, and the tallest land mammal, the Masai giraffe. Our expert guides will be on hand to help you identify many of the 400 species of birds that also live in the park.
After 2 nights in Amboseli, we fly to the Masai Mara – an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya holiday. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is without a doubt one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa.
Between July and October, things get busy in the Great Rift Valley. Millions of zebra and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard.
To save you the long driving times between the parks short scheduled flights have been used on this itinerary.

Safari Itinerary in Detail
Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to the Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, we enjoy a game drive en route to our lodge in Amboseli National Park, where we’ll stay for two nights.
After lunch we’ll set off on our first included safari in this vast, wide-open landscape, which is one of the best places in the world to see elephants, as well as a host of other thrilling wildlife, not to mention fantastic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park
Sunrise is a great time to spot wild animals so stay alert as we head back into Amboseli for an early-morning safari. We’ll then head back to the lodge for breakfast and a day at leisure.
Why not laze around the swimming pool soaking up the sun and watching the monkeys that roam the grounds, or take in views of elephants, zebra, and antelope from the garden terrace?
Later this afternoon, we’ll take our second game drive of the day, where we can notch up more wildlife spots.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Wilson where you will connect with the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met and transferred to the lodge with game viewing en route. After lunch go on a game drive in the rolling grassy hills until sunset in search of African wildlife.
The Masai Mara delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras, and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.
The reserve is a photographer’s and naturalist’s paradise, with abundant elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. The park is also home to over 450 bird species.

Day 4: Discover Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning and afternoon ‘Spice’ game drives are planned. The sprawling plains enable clear sightings of giraffes, zebra, and the multitude of antelope species that graze on the land, and camping in and around the park offers incredible orange-tinted sunsets usually only visible in films.
The park is also home to the colorful Masai tribe, a beautiful and proud people who maintain their strong ties with their African earth, and communities still exist within the dispersal area of the reserve.
Game viewing in the park is excellent all year round, and the well-known wildebeest migration that takes place annually is yet another drawcard enticing you to experience this fantastic.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve – Fly to Nairobi
After breakfast and a last game drive in the Masai Mara, you will be transferred to the airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi.
On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met and transferred to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport for your journey home.
