Day 1: Arrival Nairobi – Transfer to The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel

Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met and assisted by African Spice Safaris representative. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park – The Fairmont Ark

After breakfast drive north with your expert driver/guide towards the lush foothills of the Aberdare Mountain Range to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. The club has lovely gardens, views and a 9-hole golf course.

After lunch transfer to The Fairmont Ark (children under 7 Years not permitted, light bags only) overlooking a waterhole and salt lick where the ‘Big Five’ occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters.

The Ark comprises three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing.

Day 3 : Mount Kenya National Park – The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

After breakfast drive to the world famous Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club founded by William Holden. On a clear day you will see the magnificent mountain in its full splendor.

The club offers glorious views of the mountain and forest, delightful gardens, a 9-hole golf course and a splendid colonial-style ambience with roaring log fires. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon at leisure enjoying the clubs facilities.

All of the amenities you would expect from a fine international establishment are here, including horseback riding, golf, croquet, a putting green, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage, tennis, trout streams and more. Fine dining, warm hospitality and superb accommodations of suites or cottages are hallmarks of our stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve – The Fairmont Mara Safari Club

After breakfast, drive to Nanyuki airstrip for your scenic flight over the spectacular Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve, offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game.

It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. The well-appointed Fairmont Mara Safari Club is set in the Ol Choro Oiroua Conservation Area at the foot of the Aitong Hills.

The area is known for excellent game sightings, including large prides of lions. The Mara River surrounds the camp on three sides and all the tents with four poster beds, verandah and modern en-suite facilities have magnificent views of the river. Met on arrival and transfer to the lodge. Afternoon shared game drives.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve – The Fairmont Mara Safari Club

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

We also visit a Masai village and glimpse life so ancient and yet so enduring that it astonishes. The true pinnacle of our journey to the Mara however will be Bush Sundowners—a civilized cocktail party staged in the untamed wilds of Africa.

Day 6 : Masai Mara – Fly Nairobi – Dayrooms at the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel – Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. You will be met on arrival Wilson Airport and transferred to The Carnivore Restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, transfer to your city centre hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your departure flight back home. African Spice Safaris representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in.
