6 Days 5 Nights Kenya Fly-in Safari Amboseli Samburu Masai Mara

6 Days 5 Nights Kenya Fly-in Safari Amboseli Samburu Masai Mara: Explore magical Kenya on this comprehensive 6-day flying safari, cutting out long drives to ensure that you make the most of your time in Kenya.

Your itinerary starts off in Nairobi flying to the very scenic Amboseli National Park – one of Kenya’s most popular parks. Amboseli enjoys the backdrop of Africa’s most iconic mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro which lies on the other side of the border with Tanzania. The park is famous for herds of elephants and groups of up to 100 are not uncommon.

The park is home to more than 50 other mammal species, including herds of zebra. There are over 400 species of birds and the best place to view the mighty Kilimanjaro. After one night in Amboseli, we fly with a light aircraft north to the Samburu National Reserve, an area made famous by the best-selling book and award-winning movie ‘Born Free’.

Set alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, Kenya’s biggest northern river, Samburu has the lion’s share of wildlife. Besides big cats and African wild dogs, you’re likely to see some of the rare northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, Guenther’s dik-dik and the beisa oryx, known as the Samburu Special Six.

Flying south your next stop will be the great Masai Mara – one of the best-known reserves in the whole of Africa and is globally renowned for its exceptional wildlife. It is home to the ‘big five’ amongst many other species making a Masai Mara game reserve one of the most popular destinations and activities in Kenya.

The Masai Mara also plays host to the incredible spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration. The area has an amazing concentration of wildlife, particularly when the migratory wildebeest and zebras are grazing on the lush plains from June to October.
