This 6-night luxury air package begins and ends in Nairobi and includes safari accommodation (3 nights at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and 3 nights at Rekero Camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve), all light-aircraft flights (Nairobi-Olpejeta-Masai Mara-Nairobi), all park fees and taxes, shared safari activities, all meals and house drinks on safari and domestic airport transfers in Nairobi.
Begin the safari with a transfer to Wilson Airport. You then fly to Nanyuki Airstrip where you will be met and transferred to Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. You then spend the next couple of days enjoying twice-daily game viewing and looking for the Big Five. There is plenty of wildlife at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy including the iconic elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and cheetah.
You also get to explore the other safari and conservation activities on offer such as visiting the anti-poaching dog squad to learn all about the work they do and their success at protecting the animals in the reserve. Guests also visit the northern white rhinos which are protected on this private reserve; one of the few places where you can still see them.
After 3 nights at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, you will transfer to the Nanyuki airstrip and fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for the next few days, Rekero camp.
Rekero Camp is located in a prime position overlooking the Talek River in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp sits next to the main crossing point used by the wildebeest on their epic annual journey.
You can watch the herd make this perilous crossing without even leaving the camp. Enjoy this and other wildlife sightings from the comfort of your riverside tent or from one of the two communal decks.
Wildlife viewing is the main event at Rekero, with two game drives per day, led by expert local guides. Other activities include cultural and community visits, Hot-air balloon rides, visits to the Kenya Wildlife Trust and Maa Trust research units, and Photographic safaris in the Nearby Naboisho conservancy.

Safari Itinerary in Detail
Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
This morning you will be met at Nairobi JKIA airport or your Nairobi hotel and transferred to Wilson airport for a morning flight to Nanyuki airstrip. Fly from here to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, 40 minutes away (15 kg luggage limit per person; soft bags are required for all flights on this itinerary).
A guide from Ol Pejeta Bush Camp will meet you at the airstrip and game-drive you back to camp, where you can enjoy lunch and relax in the comfort of your tent overlooking the river.
In the mid-afternoon, set off for a game drive to explore this wildlife-rich reserve, home to Kenya’s largest population of black rhino as well as the rest of the Big 5 species and plenty of unusual wildlife, too, including eland and Grevy’s zebra.

Day 2 & 3: Explore Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy morning and afternoon guided activities with the knowledgeable safari experts at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. Game drives allow you to cover good distances in search of the resident wildlife, perhaps counting how many rhinos you can see in a drive.
While these modern-day dinosaurs are a rarity across much of Africa, they are found in greater numbers here. You will also visit the endangered-species enclosure on a drive one morning or afternoon, where the last two remaining northern white rhinos on Earth are found, meeting their rangers and learning about the work being done to save these sub-species.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast you will be driven to the airstrip for your morning flight to the Masai Mara, a journey of approximately an hour, landing right in the heart of this world-famous reserve. A guide from Rekero Camp will meet you here and game-drive you back to camp, offering the perfect introduction to the vast savannah plains and stopping to watch any wildlife you encounter on the way.
Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch and time to relax overlooking the Talek River, one of the two major river systems in the reserve, which runs right in front of camp. After afternoon tea and cake, head out on a game drive to search for big cats and other wildlife.

Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Game drives from Rekero take place in the early to mid-morning and in the mid-to late-afternoon, when wildlife is most active, offering the best sightings. The grassy plains are home to a wide range of species, from the pride lion to cheetah stalking their prey and hippo wallowing in muddy pools.
There is never a dull moment in the Masai Mara. During the heat of the day you will return to camp for a rest, lunch and, of course, the tradition of freshly baked cake and tea or coffee before your afternoon drive.
Dinners are typically communal, sharing stories of your day’s adventures with other guests. Hot-air ballooning is also possible from here, at an additional cost (pre-booking recommended), offering a unique perspective on the landscapes and wildlife at sunrise.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Fly-in Nairobi
Depart for the airstrip after your final breakfast in camp from where you will take the late morning flight back to Nairobi.
