7 Day Kenya Luxury Safari Tsavo West Masai Mara Laikipia

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Tsavo West National Park
0600 Hours: Transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport from your hotel/ residence in Nairobi.

0730 Hours: Flight to Finch Hattons airstrip, welcome by Finch Hattons team and transfer to camp for a guided tour and to settle in to your luxury tented suite

1200 Hours: Enjoy a 3 course lunch served on the outdoor terrace overlooking the natural fresh water springs

Afterwards relax by the infinity pool, explore our research center or gaze out over the springs from your private deck

1530 Hours: Afternoon tea served on the outdoor terrace followed by an afternoon drive in the Tsavo West National Park where you can marvel at the geographical wonders of the park.

Spot the famous red elephants and of-course, and keep a keen look out for the infamous man-eaters of the Tsavo!

1800 Hours: Sundowner with the backdrop of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro Exquisite 6-course dinner served at the choice venue of the evening

Day 2: Full Day in Tsavo West National Park
0630 Hours: Early morning drive in the Tsavo West National Park

0900 Hours: Sumptuous breakfast served at Finch Hattons or perhaps out in the Bush

1000 Hours: Morning at your leisure at camp, or why not relax the mind, body and spirit with a touch of yoga on our fabulous yoga deck overlooking the Chyulu Hills

1230 Hours: Lunch on the outdoor terrace at Finch Hattons. After lunch why not treat yourself to one of our signature Africology treatments at the camp spa & wellness centre, or perhaps a relaxing session in our steam room.

1600 Hours: Evening bush walk with our experienced guides to learn more about the park and its rich history, the flora and fauna unique to the park and how nature lives and thrives in the Tsavo

1830 Hours: Pre-dinner drinks by the camp ‘boma’ where you can hear more about the rich history of the camp and the Tsavo, with entertainment from the Maasai dancers and perhaps even our resident guitar enthusiast!

1930 Hours: Dinner at the choice venue of the evening and end it with a night cap at the star gazing terrace

Day 3: Tsavo West – Fly to Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
0700 Hours: Breakfast at Finch Hattons Camp

0800 Hours: Transfers to Finch Hattons Airstrip in Tsavo West National Park.

0830 Hours: Flight to Nairobi. Enplane and fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. You accommodations will be at Mahali Mzuri Luxury Camp located in Olare Orok conservancy.

1100 Hours: Welcome by Mahali Mzuri and transfer to camp for a guided tour and to settle in to your tented suite

1230 Hours: Lunch on the shaded deck at Mahali Mzuri. Afterwards relax and enjoy the views and the passing game of the Mara, there have been some incredible and exciting sightings straight from the camp, so make use of the binoculars provided

1530 Hours: Afternoon tea served in the lounge followed by an afternoon game drive in the Olare Motorogi conservancy.

Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
0630 Hours: Early morning game drive in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy

0900 Hours: Breakfast served at Mahali Mzuri or perhaps out in the bush. See a different perspective of life on the plains with a guided safari walk. Learn about the smaller wildlife, flora and fauna

1230 Hours: Lunch on the shaded deck at Mahali Mzuri Tented Camp. After lunch why not relax in the spa treatments or go for Horse riding.

1530 Hours: Afternoon tea followed by an afternoon game drive, to a Masai community closest to Mahali Mzuri understand the local way of life and meet with a Masai Elder (a contribution to the village trust fund would apply)

1800 Hours: Pre dinner drinks around the campfire. Share your stories and photos of what you’ve seen with the team and other guests

1930 Hours: Dinner in the dining tent at Mahali Mzuri

Day 5: Masai Mara – Fly to Laikipia Plateau
0800 Hours: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Mahali Mzuri Luxury Camp

1100 Hours: Fly to Nairobi Wilson Airport.

1200 Hours: Arrive at the Nairobi Wilson Airport

1300 Hours: Flight to Laikipia Plateau. Segera  lies at the very heart of the Laikipia Plateau, which is nestled between the glorious Mount Kenya to the east and the Great Rift Valley to the west.

1405 Hours: Arrive at the Segera Airstrip. Transfer to Segera Retreat for lunch. Early afternoon at leisure with the option of enjoying spa services

1600 Hours: Afternoon game drive. Wildlife can be viewed from 4×4 vehicles. Roaming freely though Laikipia, the area boasts the second highest density of wildlife in Kenya, including endangered species such as patas monkeys, Grevy’s zebra and wild dog.

1800 Hours: Bush sundowner before returning to Segera Retreat

1930 Hours: Dinner served at one of the choice venues for the evening

Day 6: Full Day in Laikipia Plateau, Segera Retreat
0700 Hours: Breakfast. Explore the diverse landscapes from the Paddock House during Breakfast.

A guided nature walk to the back of house tour including solar farm, water recycling plant and the hanger which houses the GAMMY the original plane from the award winning movie “Out Of Africa”

Proceed with a game drive en route to SATUBO women’s beading  group – A Zeitz s Foundation Initiative that has transformed the age-old tradition of beading and handicraft into a financial viable enterprise.

Participate by learning how to make the beading products with the option of purchasing some of the handmade traditional jewelry

1230 Hours: Bush lunch. Return to Retreat for relaxation in the Villas or by the pool with an option of enjoying spa services

Travel back in time by reading unpublished letters from David Livingstone, Karen Blixen and Hemingways displayed in the Explorers Lounge

1800 Hours: Pre dinner drinks followed by dinner at the choice venue of the evening. An option of a sleep out on the outdoor swing beds-weather permitting

1315 Hours: Arrive at the Wilson airport. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
