Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel

Arrived at Jomo Kenyatta Airport met and was assisted by an African Spice Safaris representative. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 & 3: Fairmont Norfolk Hotel – Fly to Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

After breakfast, we transfer to Wilson Airport in central Nairobi for a 50-minute flight to Nanyuki airstrip on the slopes of Mt. Kenya followed by a 15 minutes transfer drive to the world-famous Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club founded by William Holden.

On a clear day, you will see the magnificent mountain in its full splendour. The club offers glorious views of the mountain and forest, delightful gardens, a 9-hole golf course, and a splendid colonial-style ambience with roaring log fires. After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is leisurely enjoying the club’s facilities.

All of the amenities you would expect from a fine international establishment are here, including horseback riding, golf, croquet, a putting green, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage, tennis, trout streams, and more.

Fine dining, warm hospitality, and superb accommodations of suites or cottages are the hallmarks of our stay.

We also pay a visit to the exotic Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in the secluded heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen.

During our tour, we visit the endangered species Boma, meet Baraka the Black Rhino, Sweetwaters Chimpanzee sanctuary, and the Morani information centre.

Day 4: Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club – Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, we transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for your scenic flight over the spectacular Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve, offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game.

It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. The most famous wildlife area in Kenya‚ the Maasai Mara National Reserve‚ is known not only for the annual great migration‚ but for year-round exceptional and abundant wildlife.

Over 100 mammal species are found here‚ including the Big Five‚ and over 450 bird species. Game viewing here is second to none. The well-appointed Fairmont Mara Safari Club is set in the Ol Choro Oiroua Conservation Area at the foot of the Aitong Hills. The area is known for excellent game sightings, including the large pride of lions.

The Mara River surrounds the camp on three sides and all the tents with four-poster beds, verandahs, and modern en-suite facilities have magnificent views of the river.

You will be met on arrival and transferred to the lodge. Afternoon enjoys shared game drives.

Day 5 & 6: Explore Masai Mara Game Reserve

Spend the next two days at the Fairmont Mara Safari Club – located in the renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, home to the great wildebeest migration. It offers 51 luxuriously furnished tents featuring four-poster beds, en suite facilities, and private decks overlooking the hippo-filled Mara River.

The property features an outdoor swimming pool, lounge, restaurant, and exciting game drives accompanied by the most scenic sundowner cocktails and dining experiences in the bush. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives

The Mara offers a broad range of pursuits including cultural sites and villages, day and night game drives and daytime guided walks (just outside the Reserve), and spectacular early morning hot-air balloon flights.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Fly Nairobi – Dayrooms at the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel – Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. You will be met on arrival at Wilson Airport and transferred to The Carnivore Restaurant for lunch (Optional). After lunch, transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your departure flight back home. African Spice Safaris representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in.
