7 Days 6 Nights Uganda Safari Gorillas Wildlife Chimpanzee Tour begins and ends in Kampala or Entebbe in Uganda. The tour starts by travelling to number one Uganda’s tourist destination – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Other than the beautiful scenery of the part, various species of birds and monkeys, you will be highly inspired by the sight of the giant mountain gorilla.

You will thereafter go to Queen Elizabeth National Park – the world’s most bio–diversity wildlife sanctuary featuring climbing lions, leopards, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, lots of small game and rare birds.

Proceed to Kibale forest National Park famous for the world’s highest concentration of primates among which is man’s closest relative – the chimpanzee.

Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast and depart to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. Along the way you will make a rest stop at the craft village at the equator for shopping, we continue to Mbarara for lunch and later pass through the beautiful evergreen mountain country that is, the “Little Switzerland of Uganda”.

Arrive at Bwindi late in the evening. The travel time from Kampala is about 9 Hours.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Gorilla Tracking

Early morning after breakfast, with your packed lunch, go for a briefing at 0800 Hours before beginning the trek. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable, so it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will take in the process.

It may take 2-8 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas.

An encounter of these gentle giants will be your most exciting experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants.

After an encounter of a group of gorillas some with silver backs, one can say “a sight of Gorillas has made my life time tour”. An optional community visit in the evening is also worthwhile.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Having taken breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is rich in wildlife and others call it a birder’s paradise!

Arrive through the famous Ishasha Sector, in anticipation of rewarding your cameras with views of the tree-climbing lions.

The travel time from Bwindi Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park is about 7 hours.

Day 4: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, Wildlife Viewing and Boat Cruise

Early morning, depart for a game drive in the Northern part of the park along the Kasenyi track. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action.

This early morning game drive in the Park, provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, topis and bush bucks and many more.

After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.

This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography. Bird watching and game viewing is wonderful.

The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species recorded making it a magnet for bird watchers.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Drive to Kibale National Park Chimpanzee

Take breakfast, you may choose to explore Kyambura Wildlife Reserve driving through grassland area. Pass by the astonishing gorge of the tropical rainforest 100 meters deep.

It’s a lucrative experience not only to see the chimpanzees, but also to see the gorgeous river valley that houses numerous birds and butterfly species, then transfer to Kibale National Park, a proclaimed home of Primates.

Travel time from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale National Park is about Travel 4 Hours.

Day 6: Kibale Chimp Trekking/ Primates, Nature Walk

After breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale Forest National Park, for primate viewing. This park is known for the highest number of primate species in Africa.

The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning taking 2-3 hours searching for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colombuses, Blue, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects.

The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.

This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. A visit to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site is amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna.

Day 7: Depart to Kampala (or Entebbe)

Early breakfast before embarking on our return to Kampala or Kigali, driving down the grassed and terraced escarpments of southwestern Uganda while taking in the breathtaking sights of the hills of the region dubbed ‘the little Switzerland of Africa’.

This area is a highly fertile, mountainous region with steep sided hills covered from top to bottom in neatly terraced cultivated rows. Not to miss as we traverse Mbarara are the impressing longhorn Ankole cattle.

A remarkable highlight of this journey is the Equator line and surely you will cross it as we have a brief stop here. We will be in Kampala in the evening before for your flight back home.
