Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Ololo Lodge, a charming ranch-style lodge conveniently situated on the edge of Nairobi National Park, offering classic game drives and guided nature walks.
Ololo lodge is located about 45 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, with ultra-convenient access through the national park.
The following morning after breakfast we fly off to the Maasai-owned Mbirikani Group Ranch one of Kenya’s most rewarding private game reserves where you have exclusive access to an area teeming with wildlife.
This private conservancy is located on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills National Park between the Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks in southeast Kenya.
Your accommodation here is the Ol Donyo, where you can go on day or night game drives, guided walks, mountain biking, or horseback safaris through the game-packed surrounding areas.
Visit a nearby Maasai village for a fascinating glimpse into the local culture, or head out to the Amboseli Game Reserve for some exceptional wildlife viewing. When you’re not out exploring, you can relax on your rooftop deck or laze beside the swimming pool.
After 3 nights at Ol Donyo, we take a short flight to the Masai Mara, home to the famous Wildebeest Migration in season and a rewarding wildlife destination at any time of year. Your accommodation here is at the Mara Bush Houses located in the uncrowded Mara North Conservancy.
Here you can enjoy day and night game drives with your Maasai guide, as well as safari walks in the wilderness before returning to the warm embrace of your secluded sanctuary.
These safari houses come with a chef, guide and house manager on hand to ensure an exceptionally comfortable grand finale. After 4 nights at the Mara Bush Houses, this itinerary takes you back to Nairobi at the end.

Day 1, 2,3 & 4: Nairobi – Fly to Chyulu Hills (Mbirikani Group Ranch)
After breakfast, we transfer to the Nairobi Wilson Airport for a domestic flight to the Chyulu Hills where you are met at an airstrip and driven to Ol Donyo Lodge for 3 nights.
Ol Donyo Lodge offers guests exclusive access to 275 000 acres of one of the few remaining wilderness areas in East Africa: the Chyulu Hills Range runs between Amboseli and Tsavo national parks.
At Ol Donyo Lodge adventures include twice-daily game drives, guided bush walks, exhilarating horseback safaris (with mounts suitable for both novice and experienced riders), fly camping and mountain biking.
Visit a nearby Maasai village for a fascinating glimpse into the local culture, or head out to the Amboseli Game Reserve for some exceptional wildlife viewing. When you’re not out exploring, you can relax on your rooftop deck or laze beside the swimming pool.
The lodge boasts spacious guest suites, no two of which are the same. Each features its own exclusive plunge pool, as well as a rooftop terrace where an elegant star bed can be set up to sleep beneath the glittering night sky.
Decorated with art pieces, each suite at Ol Donyo features a lounge, veranda, en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a unique star bed that gives you the chance to enjoy a magical night outdoors with the overarching East African cosmos as your bedroom ceiling.
You will dine on tantalizing meals, accompanied by an extensive wine list and served in the elegant dining area. After a rewarding morning of game viewing, you can choose to cool off in the inviting infinity pool or indulge in a relaxing massage.

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8: Chyulu Hills – Fly to Masai Mara (Mara North Conservancy)
After breakfast at Ol Donyo lodge we fly to Wilson airport in Nairobi, en-plane and then fly to Mara North conservancy for 4 nights. Upon arrival, we transfer to the Mara Bush Houses in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.
Your accommodation here is a fully staffed, exclusive-use safari house; your own home-from-home complete with a chef, housekeeping staff and a manager to make sure it all runs like clockwork.
The Mara House and Acacia House are located in the Ol Chorro Losoit valley in the Lemek hills and on the 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy. These three-bedroom houses have an open-plan dining and seating area with a log fire which creates a cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings.
The private chef prepares all meals to a high standard and will cater for bush picnics or lunches under the acacia trees by the pool. You have the freedom to plan the day as you choose as each house has a fully qualified safari guide and vehicle at its disposal for a choice of activities.
These include day and night game drives to see the wildlife and beauty of the conservancy as well as the Masai Mara National Park, bush walks, bush meals, sundowners, visits to rhino sanctuary and participation in community projects.
Game drives are taken mainly within the conservancies of Mara North, Ol Chorro and Lemek – an area of about 100,000 acres. Trips into the main Masai Mara National Reserve can be arranged (park fee payable).
