9 Days Amboseli Ol Pejeta Masai Mara Luxury Flying Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your Nairobi Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the facilities at the hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi – Fly to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the camp with an en-route game drive and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, you visit a typical Masai village and get an insight into the life of this traditional tribe.

Day 3: Explore Amboseli National Park

We awaken to the sights and sounds of big game country and, if we’re lucky, to a view of Kilimanjaro often unclouded in the early morning sky. In addition to elephants, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and the rare black rhino.

Amboseli is sought after by travelers in the know for its breathtaking scenery and easily approachable wildlife. There is also a host of Kenya birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting. Just after daybreak, we venture into the crisp morning air in search of the great herds. Our game drives are sure to reveal great wonders.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi – Fly to Ol Pejeta Game Reserve

Today we wake up bright and early. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your local flight to Nairobi to catch a flight to Nanyuki Airstrip.

You will be received at the airstrip and transferred to the camp, located inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. After afternoon tea, we set off on a game drive with an expert guide, searching for wildlife in an open-sided 4×4 safari vehicle. Ol Pejeta is East Africa’s Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary and the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees.

Day 5: Explore Ol Pejeta Game Reserve

Early morning game drive conducted in 4×4 vehicles and accompanied by an experienced driver guide. Also, game walks accompanied by resident naturalists ‚ night game drives, and many activities.

Activities are wide-ranging and include visiting the anti-poaching dog section; visiting the Northern White enclosure; behind the scene visits to the chimpanzees; bush walks with the rhino patrol, lion tracking and assisting with the monitoring program, ranch visits to see how the reserve manages their cattle and community visits.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta Game Reserve – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and transfer to the airstrip for the direct flight to the Masai Mara which is approximately an hour’s flight. On arrival at the Masai Mara, you will be met and transferred to the camp with an en-route game drive, arriving in time for lunch.

Later on, you will go on an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 & 8: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast leave for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch at the mara river migration bride area. Spend the day game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve.

Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers.

The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October to December.

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve – Fly to Nairobi

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met and transferred to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport for your journey home.
