Ali Barbours Cave Restaurant – Diani Beach is located on the Kenyan Coast in the small town of Diani, south of Mombasa, and is great for a fine dining experience for those visiting the Diani Beach area. The restaurant offers excellent food (international cuisines – particularly seafood), delightful service, and an amazing setting. Ali Barbours Cave is located 7 minutes from Ukunda airstrip via Diani Beach Road and Ali Barbour’s Road.

The Restaurant is actually inside a cave. You go down 2 flights of stairs to the dining area and above you is this big hole in the earth where you see the sky. The cave sits approximately 100m from the beach and 5 minutes from the Diani Shopping Center and Ukunda Airstrip. The restaurant is situated 10 meters below ground in an ancient, naturally sculptured coral cave open to the sky. Ali Barbour’s cave is believed to be between 120,000 and 180,000 years old.

Ali Barbours Cave Restaurant offers free pick-up and drops off to hotels along Diani Beach. The restaurant welcomes you with calm music, ambiance lighting, and a friendly host. The restaurant has a mix of Arabic and Swahili charm, with the main dining room featuring an open ceiling. The menu has a great selection of food, wines, and cocktails and does have something for all, including a separate menu for vegetarians. Dinner is completed with a delicious dessert followed by Tea and coffee.
