Angama Amboseli Luxury Safari Lodge

Angama Amboseli Luxury Safari Lodge is an intimate lodge of just ten tented suites located in the private 5,700-acre Kimana Sanctuary, near Amboseli National Park. The lodge is nestled in the heart of the Kimana Sanctuary amidst yellow fever acacias. Access by road: it’s a 3.5 hours drive on a paved road straight from Nairobi to the gate.

Access by air: There are also scheduled flights with Safarilink landing at Kimana Airfield in the Sanctuary, as well as Amboseli National Park and the Chyulu Hills, both about 1 and half hour’s drive away. Private charters are always welcome at the Sanctuary’s Airfield.

Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, views of Kilimanjaro, and guests at Angama Amboseli enjoy exclusive traversing and unrestricted game viewing in Kimana Wildlife conservancy an area known for its incredible density of general wildlife and a vital migratory path for wildlife that connects Amboseli National Park to two other protected areas, the Chyulu Hills and Tsavo West National Park.

The ten tented suites — including two sets of interconnecting family units, that accommodate a maximum of 20 guests — are all designed to maximize the famous views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Angama Amboseli activities include going on safari through Kimana Sanctuary or to Amboseli National Park (a 45-minute drive from camp). Night game drives are also possible.

There’s the Photographic Studio, Gallery, Games Room, Safari Shop, and much more — but best of all, the Pool with a heart-stopping view of that iconic mountain.

The lodge floor-to-ceiling screened doors of the suites make the most of the views of Kilimanjaro. In fact, Kili, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, is always in the picture, seen from anywhere and everywhere in camp and on game drives. Guests can enjoy Amboseli on a half or full-day excursion with a picnic lunch.

In the Guest Area, enjoy indoor-outdoor dining and of course, a baraza with a fire pit for telling stories while sipping cocktails or roasting marshmallows. There are also Studios with a Safari Shop, Games Room, Photographic Studio, Art Gallery, and a Makers’ Studio. The Photographic Studio with photographers on hand to assist with equipment hire, tutorials, editing sessions, printing, and photoshoots.

Single Travellers

* The first two single tents on any booking, or a combination of reservations for guests traveling together, will not be charged a single supplement
* A 50% single supplement will be charged on all single tents thereafter

* Angama Foundation contribution – 20 US Dollars
* Kimana Conservation Levy – 60 US Dollars per adult & 30 US Dollars per child under 18 years
