Angata Migration Camp Serengeti Tanzania

Angata Migration Camp Serengeti Tanzania is a seasonal luxury camp (open from July to October each year) located near Bologonja Ranger Post in Serengeti National Park. Ang’ata Migration Camp is generally located in Ndutu in the southern Serengeti from December to March, and in Bologonja in the northern Serengeti from July to October.

The camp is an hour’s drive away from Mara River where you can witness the world-famous River Crossing, with Nile Crocodiles laying in ambush and Big Cats on the shores awaiting the Migration from July to October. Set in front of a big plain you will most certainly be in the company of thousands of Wildebeest while enjoying your cup of tea in front of your tent.

Angata Migration Camp Serengeti Tanzania has 12 large Guest tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity desk, and flush toilets. A Kingsize bed or 2 Twin beds are available.

The ensuite bathrooms all have a basin at the center with a curtain-enclosed shower and a toilet to either side. The shower is connected to two big water cans hanging outside the tent (one hot and one cold – so you’ll need to ask the staff to fill your hot water tank before taking a shower). A narrow, shaded patio has two camping chairs and a small table.

The communal area of the camp comprises two large canvas tents with roll-up sides and wooden floors. The lounge tent has a few cushioned, wooden couches, a bar cabinet, and a charging station.

Next door, the dining room has several individually laid tables covered with khaki cloth. There is little by way of décor, save for the colorful, hot air balloon-inspired light shades. An open-air fire pit sits on the grass in front of the tents, with uninterrupted views of the plains by day and a sky full of stars by night.

Activities available from Angata Migration Camp Serengeti Tanzania include; Walking Safaris, Hiking, Night Game Drives, Weddings, private Bush lunches and Bush dinners, or Balloon Safaris. Bush campfire is lit when the weather permits.

Serengeti National Park –  The vast wilderness areas are home to the earth’s biggest concentrations of large mammals, from elephants and giraffes to hippos and zebras, to lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
