Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp Tanzania

Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp Tanzania is located on the Eastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater’s rim after Lemala Gate and within 10 minutes of the drive down to the crater floor. The crater is one of the Wonders of the World and a designated World Heritage Site.

The camp location permits early game drives down to the crater leaving you almost alone to discover this World Heritage Site. Up to 25.000 animals call the crater their home except for the Maasai Giraffes who cannot cope with the steep slopes of the crater.

By road, The camp is about a 3-4 hour drive from Arusha town while flying time from Arusha to the Manyara airstrip takes about an hour followed by a 45-minute drive to the camp.

Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp Tanzania has 8 Guest Tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity desk, and flush toilets. A Kingsize bed, 2 Twin beds, or triples are available.

The camp has a lounge, the best place to connect with other travelers while enjoying a cup of Tanzanian Coffee or Tea. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served in the dining tent, freshly prepared by the camp Chefs daily.

The Bush Chefs will make sure you will always be served delicious meals and make you discover a mix of African and Continental Cuisines from original receipts they source throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

A well-stocked bar with a variety of drinks, local, cocktails, wines, spirits, and international beers,  they also offer sundowners while overlooking the stunning view over the crater rim and surrounding area. WI-fi is also available.

Activities available from Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp include; game drives, bush meals, mountain hiking, and cultural visits. Bush campfire is lit when the weather permits. The main attraction, and also the most elusive are the 23 Black Rhinoceroses that live inside the crater, maybe the one and only chance to see them in the wild.
