Ang’ata Tarangire Camp Tanzania

Ang’ata Tarangire Camp Tanzania is a tented safari accommodation in the heart of Tarangire National Park overseeing the Tarangire River and is close to Kuro Airstrip.  The camp has a 180º view towards Tarangire Hill.

The camp is only 5 Km away from Silale Swamp Plains where Elephants gather in their thousands regularly. Kudos Airstrip is 1 Km away from Camp. Ang’ata Tarangire Camp is about 150 km from Arusha, about 3 hours drive by road.

Tarangire is famous for its large concentration of Big Cats and tree climbing Pythons, even Kudus and the very elusive Oryx can be seen here. 

Ang’ata Tarangire Camp Tanzania has 8 Guest Tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity desk, and flush toilets. Depending on request a Kingsize bed, 2 Twin beds, or triples are available.

The lounge is the place to meet other travelers and share your day’s Safari stories while enjoying  Tanzanian Coffee or Tea.  Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are usually served in the Dining Tent. Private bush lunches are also offered on the crater floor freshly prepared by our Chefs on a daily basis.

A Wine selection is available here. Depending on weather conditions it can be either fully opened to bring the surrounding bush into the dining experience or it can be fully closed off in case of wind and rain.

Mosquito nets all around prevent most insects to come to bothering our Guests during their meals. The Camp Fire or Bush TV is a few steps away in front of the main area usually underneath a beautiful Acacia.  Bush TV (local name for campfire) is lit when the weather permits. 

The Bush Chefs will make sure you will always be served delicious meals and make you discover a mix of African and Continental Cuisines from original receipts they source throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.

Activities available from Ang’ata Tarangire Camp include; waking Safaris, Day & Night Game Drives, hot air balloon Rides, private Bush Lunch, or Dinner in the wilderness.
