Asanja Siri Bustani Camp is located in Grumeti, the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, near the Grumeti River. The camp is situated on a marsh that provides panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness and is near the wildebeest migration route during the months of June and July. 

Asanja Grumeti(Siri Bustani) is situated in Grumeti, the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, the most famous National Park in Tanzania. The location has been perfectly chosen to offer clients prime game viewing of the migration when they pass through the camp in June/July and August/September (this is subject to weather fluctuations).

The words ‘Siri Bustani’ means secret garden in the Swahili language which is the main language used and spoken in Tanzania. Siri Bustani camp is located right on the marsh and thus, it stays green throughout the year. The secret to this place is its remarkable transformation that continuously evolves with the seasons. The flora and fauna around the camp are distinctive to its location as it attracts birds and animals even in its driest months.

Asanja Siri Bustani can be accessed by air or road. The closest airstrip to the camp is the Grumeti Airstrip, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the camp. Guests can also access Asanja Siri Bustani by road from Arusha (7-9 hours) or Mwanza (3-4 hours). The closest airstrips is the Grumeti Airstrip – 20 Minutes drive. 

The camp is just 10 minutes drive from the Grumeti river inside the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The Grumeti river is most known for The Great Migration wherein herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the river to reach and continue their journey towards their destination. The Grumeti river has a large crocodile population who anxiously wait for migrating herd’s crossing that come with a guarantee of a great meaty feast. The weather in the Serengeti varies throughout the year, with distinct dry and wet seasons. The dry season runs from June to October and is characterized by hot, sunny days with low humidity and almost no rainfall. During this time, temperatures can range from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F) during the day and can drop to 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 59°F) at night.

The wet season runs from November to May and is characterized by occasional heavy rainfalls, high humidity, and warm temperatures. During this time, temperatures can range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F) during the day and can drop to 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) at night.
