Beach House Shela Village Lamu Island is a private house situated in Shela Village in Lamu, about 3 kilometer south of Lamu Town.

Shela Village lies at the end of an untouched 12 kilometer beach on Lamu Island. There are 4 double rooms and 1 dormitory style quadruple, all en-suite and can accommodate 12- 14 guests.

On the first floor, raised above beach level, edgeless fresh water swimming pool. It has a bar area and low comfortable baraza seats.

On the first flight of stairs is a large dining and living room, leading out onto an alfresco terrace, shaded by huge entwined acacia and baobab trees.

Another door leads onto the wooden deck over the pool and to 2 double bedrooms with their own private terraces. The third floor comprises 2 bedrooms and an open terrace with space for sunbathing.

There is a roof top terrace has features a bar, lounge and 2 swinging beds where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the whole Lamu channel, watch the fishing dhows return, dolphins pass and the moon rise.

Guests can also enjoy sitting in the gazebo with a stunning views. The infinity swimming pool has views out over the Lamu Channel.

The house is on self catering or catered basis where guests are welcomed to prepare their own meals or have the cook prepare meals for them.

The kitchens are well equipped with gas cooker, fridge, deep-freeze, bottle cooler, ice maker, ice-cream machine and liquidizer.

Activities in Beach House Shela Village Lamu Island include windsurf, kite surf, bodysurf, sail, water ski, village visits and beach walks with extraordinary driftwood and sightings of dolphins offshore.

Guests may enjoy watching a local football match, explore Lamu town, and visit Lamu Museum, Lamu Donkey Sanctuary and Lamu Animal Welfare Clinic.
