Bugoma Jungle Lodge is a small eco-friendly Tented Camp located 5 km off Kabwoya trading center, along Hoima Kagadi Road, 40 km South of Hoima. The lodge is a perfect stopover for lunch or accommodation en route between Murchison Falls National Park and Kibale National Park / Fort Portal.

The lodge is found in Bugoma Forest protected reserve and therefore you can enjoy nature walks to see the endemic Ugandan mangabeys and hear the sounds of Chimpanzees, it is a wonderful birding destination, and many other primates are seen from the lodge.

The beautiful cottages built on raised wooden decks are spacious with splendid views of the surrounding forest. Accommodation options consist of cottages with wooden decks that can be set up for single, double, twin, or triple rooms.

The spacious rooms have a bathroom, a desk, a mosquito net, a wardrobe, and a private terrace with a wonderful view. The reception, a restaurant, and a bar with excellent service are located in the main building where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding beauty and sounds of nature.

Activities available from Bugoma Jungle Lodge include; a Guided Nature Walk to see the endemic Ugandan mangabeys and hear the sounds of Chimpanzees and the Bugoma Jungle Lodge loop trail – here you get to spot many species of birds and primates like black and white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and mangabeys.

Activities at Bugoma Jungle Lodge Kisaru Uganda

Nature walks in search of the Ugandan mangabeys – Trails are open in Bungoma forest to go and try to spot Ugandan mangabeys and other primates. 40  US Dollars per person.

Birdwatching in Bungoma – guided birding walks are available from Bungoma jungle lodge and follow the trails of the community village walk. tariff – 30 US Dollars per person.

Visit the projects of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF)– The activity is done from Bungoma jungle lodge and allows visitors to appreciate the projects (every 5 acres, beekeeping, chimp trap, public nursery bed free, but donations accepted.

Bugoma jungle lodge loop trail –  a 20 minutes guided trail is available free of charge at the lodge and you can spot many species of birds and primates like black and white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and mangabeys.

Community village walks in Nyakafunjo/ Kyamujogo – There are guided village walks available starting from Bungoma jungle lodge. according to the time available, there are options of walks for a minimum of one hour to longer walk covering up to 2 km distance –  15 US Dollars per person.
