Burton Cottage is a 1-bedroom holiday cottage located in Olepangi Farmstead in Timau. The cottage is located 45 minutes from Nanyuki. It is located little north of Nanyuki Town. Olepangi Farm is located at the foothills of Mount Kenya, an authentic farmstead in Timau. Set on 120 acres, this family-run lodge offers amazing views over the natural surroundings and is hosted by the owners, Elizabeth and Clinton who have developed the farm as a lifelong dream to live in such a paradise.

Burton Cottage Olepangi Farm features a double antique Bombay bed. The cottage is decorated with fine antique carpets and original paintings by Kenyan-based artist David Marrian, whose landscape work is well-known in Kenya and beyond.
The bathroom is fitted with a shower and comes with beautiful organic soap, shampoo, and conditioner handmade in Kenya. This cottage shares a verandah with Speke cottage and due to this Burton Cottage is often booked with Speke Cottage for groups of 3 or 4 people.
Olepangi Farm has a beautiful new pool and pool house with two spa treatment rooms, a gym, a huge sunken fireplace, an eating and bar area, and sunbathing deck. The guests have the run of the farm – in particular the ‘Party House’, with its soaring Makuti-thatched ceiling, which houses our dining room and bar, drawing room, and library.
In the evenings, guests gather on the terrace to watch the sun go down – it’s a lovely place to make new friends – or just put your feet up, relax, reflect, and enjoy the view. The farm has been known to have the odd pajama party or even cocktail-making competition.
Olepangi Farmstead Activities Include Swimming, massages, horse riding, community walks, cow milking, yoga, gathering fresh organic produce from our garden, bread making, village visits croquet, gin tastings, and the favorite option “do nothing.” Further afield, the beautiful Laikipia region is ideal for hiking, horse riding, and game viewing.
Guests can take day trips into the neighboring wildlife reserves including Samburu National Park, Ol Pejeta, Lolldaigas, Solio, and Ngare Ndare Forest.
